Boeing Global Services’ (BGS) International Program Management organization is seeking a Finance Business Senior Manager to support Boeing Japan Defense Services. 


Position Responsibilities:

  • Be a key member of the Business leadership team, contributing to the development of strategic goals and objectives and leading key initiatives
  • Provide financial advice to the business on strategic and operational issues, run business case analysis in support of management decisions  
  • Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Effectively plan and manage business rates and overheads, with a focus on affordability.
  • Financial oversight and review of program budgets/forecasts, schedules and performance.
  • Maintain a strong control environment achieved through maintaining a clear authority matrix, auditing activity (internal and external) and regular performance reviews.
  • Own and drive the financial results for the business with strong financial hygiene and governance.
  • Drive effective management of working capital, cash flows, costs and margins.
  • Lead the annual budgeting and long-range business plan process and monitor the delivery of key financial targets.
  • Work with external consultants, industry and advisors.
  • Drive proposal and business growth strategies, including support to commercial negotiations. This will involve supporting the formulation of competitive proposals and negotiation strategies including review and inputs to proposal pricing and risk management.
  • Build relationships with finance and other colleagues across the Boeing enterprise to drive integration and outcomes for BJKK.
  • Responsible for Management Reporting in close coordination with different Business units, Programs and functions.  
  • Ability to inspire and motivate employees and accomplish results by working across project teams and functions.
  • Other tasks and duties requested by management.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA, MBA (with major in Finance), CFA, Japanese CA(公認会計士), or equivalent; 15 + years of experience (Aerospace & Defense industry exposure preferred)
  • Experience of leading a finance team in a medium/large organization preferably with supply chain and / or manufacturing operations
  • Experience of partnering in a growing business with demonstrated contributions in supporting the growth
  • Experience working in multi-national organizations. Demonstrated experience working across borders, cultures and time zones
  • Good knowledge of commercials/pricing, accounting and financial controls
  • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of concluding commercial deals
  • Proven ability to inspire and manage teams, both directly and through a matrix management structure
  • Good interpersonal skills with an ability to win the respect and trust of colleagues, employees, suppliers and customers
  • Strong ethical and professional values; the ability to resolve issues without compromising on ethics

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience in SAP system and systems implementation (preferable)
