The Opportunity
Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) is seeking a Contractor Supervisor Lead to join the MQ‑28 Ghost Bat Production Facility build at Wellcamp Toowoomba, QLD.

This is a rare opportunity to work on Boeing's first final assembly facility outside North America and help build a state-of-the-art site that will deliver Australia's first military-designed combat aircraft in more than 50 years and redefine how advanced aircraft are made.

As the Contractor Supervisor Lead at Boeing you will:

  • Develop, maintain and update the master program (baseline schedule), key milestones and short and long term deliverables.
  • Ensure site complies with safety legislation, company HSE policies and project-specific plans.
    • Carrying out approval and oversight of JSEAs, Isolation (LOTO), permits, and high-risk work across site.
    • Coordinate and schedule trades and contractors for installation and commissioning activities.
  • Review and validate scope changes, assess impacts (cost/time/quality) and obtain approvals.
  • Conduct audits and maintain register
  • Co-ordinate induction programs
  • Prepare Safety management plans
  • Escalate critical risks to BDA or senior management as required.
  • Identify, assess and manage project risks; maintain and action the risk register and mitigation plans.
  • Prepare and deliver regular progress reports and convene key stakeholder meetings.
  • Develop baseline programmed with logic, durations, constraints and milestones..
  • Produce regular schedule reports, dashboards and programmed snapshots for PM and BDA Stakeholders
  • Identify the critical path and activities that threaten key milestones.
  • Ensure schedule logic matches site sequencing, plant hire schedules and required isolation/lockout-tagout arrangements and other high rash work area's.


Who we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Building Engineering, Architecture or a closely related discipline (often required or highly preferred)
  • Diploma or advanced certificate in construction/project management for candidates without a degree.
  • Proven track record managing projects of similar scope, value and contract type.
  • Several years' practical on‑site construction experience (typical range: 5-10+ years depending on project size)
  • Knowledge of relevant building codes, statutory approvals, compliance and AS Standards
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and shop drawings.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and management teams.
  • Collaborative mindset, excellent communication skills and a drive to mentor others.
  • Willingness to be based at Wellcamp with occasional travel to suppliers and Boeing sites.

  • Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements.

Contract Length

  • This is a two year fixed term contract commencing in May 2026.
