Are you looking to bring your contracts management expertise to a global company and work on cutting-edge programs that make real difference?

We are looking for a knowledgeable and experienced Senior Contracts Specialist to join our E-7A Wedgetail team. Our E-7 Contracts team establishes and oversees vital commercial arrangements in support of both the sustainment and advancement of the E-7A Airborne Early Warning & Control capability in service with both the Royal Australian Airforce Force and other international users.

The ideal candidate will possess a sharp attention to detail, demonstrable commercial acumen, and an established background in contract/commercial management or complex procurement. Based at or nearby to RAAF Williamtown NSW, you will be an important individual contributor to the E-7A Wedgetail Sustainment Program, taking the lead in managing the Wedgetail In-Service Support (WISS) Contract with the Department of Defence.

As part of the role, you will deliver comprehensive commercial support to the E-7 Programs business unit, including drafting, negotiating, and managing contract artefacts, supporting scope growth opportunities, and managing both internal and external stakeholders to deliver on customer objectives and expectations.

About you:

  • Experience with commercial contracting and/or complex procurement subcontracting is required, with experience managing contracts delivering technical services and capability within a project environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of fundamental contracting principles and the application of appropriate techniques.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills are essential for thriving in a collaborative and positive team environment.
  • Defence experience, desirable however not essential.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (e.g. Law, Business/Commerce) from a recognised institution highly desirable.
