The Opportunity

Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Specialist to join the P-8A Depot maintenance team based at RAAF Base Edinburgh in South Australia. The Shipping & Receiving specialist will have knowledge and experience in warehousing and distribution in support of the Supply Chain Management (SCM) team. This role will involve receipt, dispatch and related warehousing and distribution support actives. Successful applicants should possess knowledge in material management, maintenance warehousing environment, booking freight, operation of plant and manual handling equipment and proficiency in inventory management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with Managing inventory to ensure appropriate levels of accountability and traceability
  • Manage Goods inwards
  • Responsible Hazardous chemical management
  • Shelf Life Management
  • Responsible for
  • Processing Inventory Management System (Oracle) and MILIS transactions to support project activities as required
  • Assist in maintaining P-8A Poseidon Depot Maintenance Support and Ground Support Equipment (GSE) inventory to ensure tooling is serviceable and readily available
  • Maintain adequate levels of PPE and general tooling.

Experience/Qualifications

  • Cert III in warehousing operations (highly desirable) fully funded on the job support for this qualification will be considered for successful candidates
  • Experience with MILIS, ERP (Oracle) and SAP (highly desirable but not necessary)
  • Forklift (High Risk) Licence (highly desirable) Training can also be funded and provided
  • Desire to grow your knowledge of, and gain experience in, supply support roles and functions
  • Desire to gain in-depth knowledge and experience in all computerised inventory management systems and methodologies utilised at BDA
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of applications preferable

Applicants must be Australian citizens to meet Defence security requirements, and have the ability to obtain and maintain a NV1 security clearance.
