Boeing Technical Apprenticeship Program (BTAP)

The digital revolution has created new demands for technical skills to align with a digital future of work. BTAP is an accelerated, on-the-job, earn-as-you-learn development program for those interested in gaining new job-ready technical skills for emerging and in demand roles.

Whether you’re transitioning from school or the military, re-entering the workforce, or simply want to jumpstart your career – this program fast-tracks your development.

BTAP participants receive paid, relevant work experience and are mentored by industry leaders, while acquiring valuable skills and on the job experience.

Program overview

The BTAP experience is immersive, adaptive and personalized. Participants will:

  • Work in a paid technical apprenticeship program for up to 12 months.
  • Gain job-ready skills and experience to become a viable candidate for a full-time role at Boeing, in aerospace or in other industries.
  • Receive foundational hands-on technical training and on-the-job developmental experiences that result in digital credentials and milestone career achievements.

Upon completion, you will receive an industry-recognized credential from Boeing, a recognized U.S. Department of Labor registered apprenticeship credential, and – for some participants – higher education credits towards certificate or degree programs.

Eligibility

BTAP is open to applicants in the United States. A degree is not required to apply for most technical apprenticeship programs. We select apprentices based on a range of criteria, such as:

  • Passion for continuous learning and development.
  • Problem solving skills with the capacity to quickly apply solutions to one’s work.
  • Technical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot complex scenarios.
  • Positive attitude and self-motivation with persistence to succeed.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with accountability to a team.
