Ronak Pandya was a curious child. Growing up in Gujarat, India, he spent his evenings on the terrace staring at the stars and planets. Using a telescope gifted by his father, his interest in aviation was inspired by the flashing lights and contrails of passing aircraft. And his first flight over the Himalayas sparked a lifelong passion for engineering.

“As a child, I was fascinated by the idea of flying. With ‘sky is the limit’ as my motto, I went on to pursue my bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, followed by a master’s in aerospace engineering before I joined Boeing,” Ronak said.

Ronak was one of the first employees to join our Boeing India Engineering & Technology Center (BIETC) in Bengaluru, India, which now numbers more than 4,800 team members.

His work has taken him to the United States, France, The Netherlands, and the United Arab Emirates.

“I feel so proud and privileged to have witnessed such fabulous growth at Boeing India,” Ronak said. “Every day, I get a chance to learn something new and work on things that I dreamed about when growing up. It’s so fulfilling being here.”

Ronak now leads a global team that develops cloud-based digital solutions designed for aircraft financing and leasing, which give our customers a competitive edge in the market. To prepare for this leadership role, Ronak realized he needed to better understand the larger aerospace business environment.

“I discussed my aspirations with my manager and decided to pursue a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Aerospace Management,” said Ronak.

With tuition assistance from our Learning Together Program (LTP), Ronak earned his MBA from the Indian Institute of Management in Bangalore and the Toulouse Business School in France, where he attended classes on-site.

To keep advancing his career, Ronak enrolled in a leadership program at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, earning a certificate in project management.

“In today’s ever-changing world of technology, it’s important to upgrade our skills at a similar pace to stay relevant. The LTP helped me in my transformational journey as I assumed leadership roles,” Ronak said.

Earlier this year, continuing to use our tuition assistance, Ronak earned his postgraduate diploma in aviation finance and leasing from the Kemmy Business School, at Ireland’s University of Limerick.

“As my grandfather always tells me, ‘for a determined mind, climbing the Himalayas is not impossible.’”
