The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization is seeking a Mechanical System Analysis Engineer (Experienced or Lead) to join the Airplane Systems Engineering team located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

A successful member of this team will understand and execute modifications and upgrades for the Airborne Surveillance Command and Control (ASC2) program.

Position Responsibilities:

Experienced Level (Level 3)

• Supports the development and documentation of mechanical and fluid system and thermal environment requirements to establish the system design

• Supports the development, maintenance or modification of system, component and installation designs/proposals to provide design documentation to downstream groups

• Performs and documents analyses to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications

• Contributes to supplier development, test and production activities and directs the supplier to optimize integration and achieve program goals

• Supports system components' designs/proposals standards to provide installation and detail documentation

• Trains others

• Works under general direction.

Lead Level (Level 4)

• Leads and provides technical quality review of the development and documentation of mechanical and fluid systems and thermal environment to establish the system design

• Leads activities to validate and verify mechanical and fluid systems requirements

• Leads the development, maintenance or modification of system components' designs/proposals to provide installation and detail documentation

• Performs and documents analyses

• Manages supplier development, test and production activities and directs the supplier to optimize integration and achieve program goals

• Prioritizes, delegates and tracks performance and documentation of analyses of mechanisms/landing gear/ordnance components and systems selecting appropriate methods to validate or assess the design

• Supports proposal preparation and new business development efforts

• Trains and coaches others

• Works under minimal direction.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite in Oklahoma City, OK.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Experienced Level (Level 3)

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)

• Practical experience and knowledge of Environmental Control Systems (ECS)

• 3+ years of experience in mechanical engineering design and analysis

• Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.

Lead Level (Level 4)

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)

• Hands-on experience and proficient knowledge of Environmental Control Systems (ECS)

• 7+ years of experience in mechanical engineering design and analysis

• Ability to lead a team and mentor engineers

• Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Active U.S. Secret Clearance

• FORTRAN or Sinda Fluent experience

• Computation Fluid Dynamics (CFD) or Finite Difference Thermal Analysis

• ECS testing experience

• Qualification and Certification experience with FAA or EASA

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Strong presentation and documentation skills

• Experience with analytical, communication and problem-solving skills

• Willingness to travel internationally.

Summary Pay Range:

Experienced Level (Lvl 3):  $96,050 – $129,950

Lead Level (Lvl 4): $118,150 – $159,850
