What is your role at Boeing?

I’m part of the 787 Airplane Maintenance Engineering team. My role involves authoring Airplane Maintenance and Fault Isolation Manuals. This work is demanding technically and crucial for ensuring the reliability and safety of the aircraft.

How did you hear about our internships?

Through a friend who shared the job posting from the Boeing careers website. I was intrigued by the role and it aligned with my interests.

What do you remember most about your first day at Boeing?

Waking up with a mix of excitement and anticipation—I couldn’t get much sleep the night before due to the adrenaline. It was thrilling to start work at my dream company. Upon arriving at the office, I was warmly welcomed by my team and introduced to colleagues across other teams, which gave me a great sense of the collaborative culture here.

What has been your favorite experience at your internship so far?

The opportunity to interact with the remarkable people at Boeing. Regardless of position, everyone is approachable and friendly. I've had the chance to converse with engineers, leadership, and technical fellows, and have gained valuable insights and experience from each interaction. The supportive and growth-oriented environment made me feel valued and empowered to reach and exceed my potential.

How has your internship shaped your career goals?

It has profoundly shaped my career goals by offering a deep insight into the company’s commitment to customer needs, quality, and safety. The engaging projects I’ve worked have expanded my knowledge beyond what I learned in college and highlighted the many opportunities for growth at Boeing. Interacting with teams and exploring different roles has broadened my understanding of the aerospace industry and solidified my ambition to pursue a career here.

What advice do you have for students who are interested in interning with us?

It’s crucial to have a clear idea of what you want to achieve. Focus on roles that genuinely interest you and align with your career goals and think about what sets you apart from other candidates. Don’t hesitate to ask questions during the application process. Demonstrating curiosity and interest in the role is important, there are no bad questions.
