The Opportunity

The Production / MRO Technician will execute, report and check assigned Production Operations tasking, including task planning; kitting; build; test; fault finding; overhaul; repair; quality assurance (QA); documentation; Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) data entry and recording; and labelling and packing.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute, check and report on assigned Production/MRO Operations Manufacturing Orders (MOs) and discrete tasks;
  • Support planning and execution of the production workflow, including planning, kitting, build, test, quality assurance (QA), documentation, labelling and packing;
  • Support ERP system data entry, workflow and record keeping;
  • Support liaison with key engineering, supply and inventory teams for product definition and parts procurement support;
  • Assist with update of production, DM and product acceptance instructions; and
  • Assist with performance and documentation of first-of-type and production article testing.

Experience/Qualifications

Essential:

  • Diploma or certificate in an electrical/electronic or mechanical/structural engineering discipline.
  • Proven track record with the ability to plan, execute and deliver on-time and on-budget technical production and maintenance outcomes.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Quality Management Systems, Quality Assurance principals, and continuous improvement.
  • Systematic and logical problem solving skills.
  • The ability to work accurately and unsupervised, and the ability to prioritise work as required and manage external/internal resources.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce clear and concise documentation
  • Willingness and ability to travel and operate in domestic and international locations for extended periods

Desirable

  • Demonstrated career experience within the Aerospace industry focused on hardware component fabrication, assembly and test, including configuration management (CM).
  • Professional experience supervising and/or checking technical work.
  • Experience with technical design, fabrication, drawing and test tools.
  • Experience with ERP systems and tools.

Eligibility

  • Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements
  • Able to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance
  • You may require a Foreign Work Authorisation (FWA) in order to perform this role. This is not a requirement set or determined by Boeing but by the Department of Defence under laws issued in 2024. Please refer to the Department of Defence website to understand these requirements.
