Boeing Global Services, Distribution Business is looking for an Experience Shipping/Receiving Specialist to join our team in Coppell, TX.

Position Summary: 

Completes initial verification for identification and damage on incoming and outgoing shipments. Processes and confirms receipt and shipping documentation for internal and external customers. Processes hazardous goods in accordance with IATA and DOT requirements. Validates Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for incoming and outgoing chemical shipments. Maintains inventory of shipping supplies.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare outgoing shipments: pack, ship, and label items per Dangerous Goods regulations and carrier requirements.

  • Verify outbound shipments against pick lists and packing lists for correct part numbers, quantities, batch/lot numbers, and documentation.

  • Generate and validate shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, commercial invoices, certificates of conformance, hazardous material paperwork, and electronic shipping records.

  • Operate shipment creation tools, including SAP/EWM-XPS and SAP/EWM shipping modules, and print required labels and documents.

  • Ensure compliance with domestic and international shipping regulations, including IATA and 49 CFR  regulations, export controls, and customer-specific requirements.

  • Ensure orders are prepared properly to meet quality requirements and avoid safety or regulatory issues.

  • Inspect packaging and labeling for accuracy, damage prevention, and packaging defects.

  • Maintain an organized, clean shipping area and adhere to safety and security practices, including PPE and FOD prevention when applicable.

  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail, efficiency, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts to reduce shipping errors, cut costs, and improve cycle time.

  • Perform other duties as needed.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

  • 3+ years of related work experience in shipping operations, warehouse outbound functions, or related logistics roles.

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs frequently and up to 75 lbs with assistance or equipment, per company policy.

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.

  • Ability to fluently read, write, and speak English.

  • Proficiency with standard PC applications, such as email and spreadsheets, and experience with SAP/EWM-ERP shipping modules preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and labeling.

  • Ability to read and interpret DGIS, packing lists, routing instructions, and shipping paperwork.

  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Export Control:

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

  • Knowledge of hazmat packing, labeling, and shipping preferred.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Salary Pay Range: $44,000 - $62,000
