Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for an Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead to join the Space Parts & Production Readiness Team in El Segundo, CA.

In this role as the IPT and Cost Account Manager, you will lead others and direct phases of cross-organizational projects with oversight and management responsibility for space parts & high reliability components supporting multiple electronics programs, projects and units. You will need to demonstrate proficiency in all project management areas and will be required to maintain performance management and associated reporting in support of organizational goals and objectives.

You will develop organizational work structures, top level program and execution plans, facilitate the resolution of program issues. You will support the Common Products Electronics Managers and Program Managers in leading program execution by coordinating program metrics and integrating the implementation of the Program Management Best Practices.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Candidate will be expected to direct High-Reliability (Hi-Rel) and electronic component management strategies for space, defense, or safety-critical applications supporting Space Mission Systems Programs.
  • Ability to identify program roadblocks, design mitigation strategies, and report metrics to leadership.
  • Has specialized experience managing and coordinating the procurement, testing, and sourcing of mission critical components for aerospace and military applications.
  • Drive weekly production reviews with Integrated Product Team Leads and provide production readiness assessments for all material required per the assigned statement of work.
  • Direct High-Reliability (Hi-Rel) and electronic component management strategies for space, defense, or safety-critical applications.
  • Collaborate with Quality, Component Engineering and PMPCB (Parts Materials and Processes Control Board) teams to ensure customer requirements are complied with.
  • Ensure material availability and lead-time alignment for sensitive components without breaking budget or schedule baselines tracked via EVMS.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams without direct authority
  • Clear communication skills to present project health, cost performance, and milestones to executive leadership and military or commercial clients
  • Manage material supporting special test equipment (STE) and oversee the specialized hardware, components, spare parts, and equipment required to support the build and integration of custom test systems.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 5 years’ experience in program or project management
  • 5 years of experience managing project schedules and utilizing standard project management tools
  • Experience managing electronic components supporting Military and Aerospace Systems
  • Experience working in a cross functional environment
  • Experience working with military or space electronics

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):

  • More than 7 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Management Professional (PMP/PMI) Certification
  • Microsoft Project Expertise
  • Active Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance
  • Experience in a leadership role
  • Experience in a manufacturing/production environment
  • Familiarity with Electronics Units, STE and corresponding development and build flows
  • Experience managing multiple project schedules simultaneously and prioritizing tasks

Summary pay range:

Level 3: 101,150 – 136,850

Level 4: 126,650 – 171,350
