CVE / Senior Seat Part 21J Structures Engineer (m/f/d)
in Hamburg, Germany

About Us

Our Commercial Modifications Team operates under EASA Part 21J Design Organization Approval, with a clear mission to become the customer’s preferred choice for aircraft retrofit solutions in the commercial aviation market. Our international team, with a strong presence in Hamburg and Munich, specializes in interior retrofit projects ranging from halon fire extinguisher replacements to full cabin strip-outs.

As we continue to expand our operations in Germany, we are growing our Seat Integration Team in Hamburg, with a focus on seat certification and integration across Boeing aircraft models. • Act as the technical focal point for certification, structural substantiation, and stress-related issues.

  • Compile and/or review structural substantiation documents supporting the certification and integration of seats, seat furniture, and cabin interior monuments such as galleys, lavatories, and class dividers.

  • Prepare STC data packages to demonstrate compliance and support the post-delivery installation of seating products on large aircraft programmes.

  • Collaborate with Boeing teams and other internal and external stakeholders to ensure products are delivered in the required condition, quality, and compliance.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Stress, Structures, Mechanical, or Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering.

  • 8+ years of experience in commercial aircraft design within an EASA Part 21, Subpart J Design Organisation, or equivalent.

  • Experience as a Compliance Verification Engineer (CVE) for Structures (Panel 3) in a current or previous role.

  • Demonstrated experience with certification under EASA Part 21J.

  • Experience in seat development and certification from concept through approval, including test witnessing and ETSO performance standards (e.g. C127, C39 series) for aircraft seats.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

  • Experience: Deep knowledge of EASA airworthiness regulations and applicable requirements, such as CS-25, including related ACs and AMCs relevant to cabin interiors, seats, and occupant protection.

  • Knowledge: Strong attention to detail, with extensive experience in aircraft interiors, seats, and primary structures, including certification of novel seat features such as oblique seats and mini suites.

  • Tools: Solid expertise with engineering tools including ENOVIA, CATIA V5/V6, Altair HyperWorks, and PATRAN/NASTRAN.

  • Personality: A principled, reliable professional who values integrity, safety, and accountability, and consistently strives for the highest standards of quality and ethical conduct. Collaborative and inclusive in approach, you communicate transparently, respect diverse perspectives, and take ownership to drive results the right way.

  • Flexibility: Comfortable working in a variable environment. As our stakeholders and teams are located around the globe, flexibility to support meetings across different time zones may be required.
