Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is seeking an Experienced Programmer Analyst to support the Information Technology team in Hazelwood, Missouri! This role will support the Aerospace Composite Center (ACC). The Aerospace Composite Center has state-of-the-art enabled capabilities and operates to support Boeing’s Fighter Programs.

We are seeking a skilled information and application developer to join our team supporting the diverse Information Technology ecosystem within the ACC domain. This role is a critical enabler for exciting work related to the production of several of Boeing's critical defense products.

The Programmer/Analyst (MB) designs, programs, tests, implements, documents, and maintains software applications and application systems that support business and manufacturing operations. This role partners with end users and cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define application architecture, ensure software compatibility and application security, and deliver reliable, maintainable solutions. The Programmer/Analyst also supports upgrades and enhancements, resolves issues, and reviews system performance to recommend and implement improvements across a diverse suite of applications.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Design, program, test, implement, document, and maintain computing applications and application systems using .NET and Java

  • Gather and evaluate end-user requirements; translate needs into technical designscode, and database objects based on documented specifications

  • Analyze information to determine application architecture specificationssoftware compatibility parameters, and application security needs

  • Design and integrate application architecture by connecting application softwaredatabases, and delivery subsystems for specific applications

  • Develop and administer SQL Server databases, including creation and maintenance of tables, views, and database objects

  • Modify and upgrade applications to maintain software functionality and meet changing business requirements

  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve programming defects and application architecture problems, including integration and data-related issues

  • Review system performance, identify improvement opportunities, and recommend or implement changes to enhance reliability and maintainability

  • Collaborate with teams supporting a diverse suite of software applications and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

  • This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance for which the US Government requires U.S. Citizenship.  Ability to obtain Secret U.S. Security clearance (Post-Start)

  • 3+ years of experience developing with C#/.NET

  • 3+ years of experience developing with Java

  • 3+ years of experience developing and administering SQL Server databases

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • SQL experience, including stored procedures (Oracle PL/SQL preferred)

  • Experience working on teams that develop and maintain a diverse suite of software applications

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills

  • Experience with development and support of MRP/ERP systems

  • Experience with Manufacturing Quality Systems (QMS)

  • Experience with Workforce Management and/or Time & Attendance applications

  • Experience with material tracking systems

Summary pay range for Experienced: $107,950.00 – $146,050.00.
