The Boeing Global Services, Government Services Division (BGS-G) is seeking an Experienced Supplier Quality representative support BGS-G MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul) business in Japan.  In this position, you will be developing and leading supplier quality activities with in-country MRO service suppliers.  Also, you are expected to develop Boeing Japan Kabushiki Kaisha (BJKK) BGS-G Supplier Quality processes and procedures, while working closely with our parent company, The Boeing Company, around the globe.  This position will report to BGS-G senior manager at BJKK.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Perform supplier quality activities to ensure that suppliers' products and services, quality systems, special processes, meet purchase contract requirements and applicable regulatory agency and government regulations
  • Perform source inspection on product at supply base
  • Develops and executes business plans, quality requirements reviews, quality improvement plans all to improve supplier performance.
  • Provides education and coaching on the Quality System requirements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, suppliers.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years MRO (Maintenance repair and Overhaul) Inspection experience  
  • Ability to work flexible hours, overtime, occasional weekends when necessary, and Travel 50-75% of the time.
  • Experience with AS9100 and AS9110
  • Experience in auditing principles
  • Develops training materials and other resources to support improvements in supplier performance and productivity.
  • Experience reading and understanding engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications
  • Native Japanese speaker and business level proficiency in English.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Experience with production (PC700) supplier quality requirements
  • Experience working with Measuring Equipment
  • Experience working with a globally diverse team

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).

Location:

The selected candidate will be required to work on-site at Boeing Japan’s Tokyo office. (Including up to 50-75% of travel)

Relocation

Relocation assistance is NOT a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

This requisition is for a locally hired position. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the country where the position is located. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not on Boeing US-based payroll.
