This role is at Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, supporting Spirit’s Commercial Business Units (“Spirit Commercial”). Spirit Commercial designs and builds commercial aerostructures, including for Boeing Commercial Airplanes, one of Boeing’s three business units and the premier manufacturer of commercial jetliners for decades. Spirit Commercial’s core products include fuselages, pylons, nacelles and wing components, with a focus on innovative composite and aluminum manufacturing solutions.

Position Responsibilities

  • Coordinates training activities for new hires and the existing workforce to support business priorities, operational readiness, and employee development.
  • Develops, maintains, and manages enterprise training schedules by coordinating instructors, classrooms, equipment, and employee participation.
  • Serves as the master scheduler for the Training organization, ensuring efficient utilization of training resources and timely delivery of required training.
  • Partners with business leaders to forecast workforce training needs based on hiring plans, production schedules, compliance requirements, and organizational priorities.
  • Develops and maintains training dashboards, scorecards, and reports that provide visibility into key operational metrics and workforce readiness.
  • Performs advanced analysis of training data to identify trends, measure program effectiveness, improve resource utilization, and support strategic business decisions.
  • Establishes and monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics related to training completion, instructor utilization, scheduling efficiency, certification compliance, throughput, and organizational readiness.
  • Creates recurring and ad hoc reports utilizing Learning Management Systems (LMS), Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), and other enterprise reporting tools.
  • Analyzes workforce and training data to identify gaps, recommend process improvements, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Presents analytical findings and recommendations to leadership through executive dashboards, presentations, and performance reporting.
  • Collaborates with Training, Human Resources, Operations, and business stakeholders to improve training processes, reporting capabilities, and workforce planning.
  • Ensures the accuracy and integrity of training records, schedules, and reporting data.
  • Supports audit readiness by maintaining accurate documentation and reporting related to employee training and certification requirements.
  • Utilizes advanced reporting tools, Microsoft Excel, and business intelligence applications to automate reporting, improve analytics, and enhance decision-making.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience coordinating training, workforce scheduling, project coordination, or operational planning.
  • Experience developing and analyzing reports, dashboards, and business metrics.
  • Experience utilizing Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, advanced formulas, Power Query, charts, and data analysis.
  • Experience presenting analytical findings and recommendations to leadership.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple functional organizations.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience supporting Learning & Development, Training Operations, Workforce Planning, Human Resources, Manufacturing, or Operations organizations.
  • Experience administering or reporting from Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Experience using Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Cognos, Power Query, or similar business intelligence tools.
  • Experience developing executive dashboards, KPIs, and operational scorecards.
  • Experience with workforce forecasting, capacity planning, scheduling analytics, or resource management.
  • Experience utilizing statistical analysis and data visualization techniques to support business decisions.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
  • Experience supporting cross-functional teams within a large manufacturing or aerospace environment.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary Pay Range - Associate (Level 2): $61,500 - $94,350
