Boeing Space Mission Systems (SMS) Rapid Space Capabilities (RSC) is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support SMS programs in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Boeing offers relocation and a signing bonus for these positions based on candidate eligibility.

The successful candidate will:

  • Develops basic estimates and prices from technical requirements through the design, build and support stages of the program

  • Participates in evaluation of requests for proposal, substantiates routine estimates/pricing and assembles price proposals

  • Performs analyses in support of pricing and estimating (risk, financial, competitive, etc.)

  • Incorporates data into and maintains structured systems

  • Develops routine estimating and pricing methods

  • Develops and maintains basic pricing models

  • Supports the development/application/maintenance of rates and factors for estimating, pricing, and proposals

  • Assists with compliance, policy and procedure development, and development/deployment of systems and tools

Position Responsibilities:

  • Initiates assignments and leads integration and analysis of resource forecasts and/or Estimates at Completion (EACs) for control accounts, budgets, functions or pools; financial EACs for contracts or programs

  • Develops performance reports. Initiates assignments and leads integration of variance analyses and provides understanding of operational and financial performance to senior management

  • Makes recommendations to senior management on financial performance projections using financial and business knowledge and experience

  • Develops, reviews, analyzes and maintains cost and/or schedule performance measurement baselines, including earned value, and variance analyses and communicates cost and/or schedule trends

  • Leads development of business cases using appropriate indices

  • Provides subject matter expertise to troubleshoot process and tool issues, determine root cause and recommend solutions

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business or a related field

  • 3+ years of experience in a finance related position such as Financial Operations, Cost Management, Accounting, Estimating, or Financial Planning, Contracts or Procurement Financial Analysis (PFA)

  • 3+ year of experience with Earned Value Management (EVM)

  • 3+ years of experience with the Microsoft Excel application using: formulas, VLookups, pivot tables, charts, filters, and linking worksheets

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to effectively communicate data in Senior Leadership briefings

  • Experience leading projects or teams with little direct supervision and drive project to completion

  • Experience with Deltek, COGNOS, COBRA, Earned Value Management software, and other accounting systems containing historical cost data.

  • Experience with financial planning processes and tools

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $99,450 - $134,550
