We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manufacturing Technology Analyst to join our LEOS Team in Albuquerque, NM, a high-performing group focused on next-generation Laser and Electro-Optical systems. This role is pivotal in integrating advanced manufacturing engineering methodologies into our processes and delivering mission-focused technologies to the final customer.

As a Manufacturing Technology Analyst, you will work with manufacturing engineers to support new product development, develop/implement new manufacturing processes, ensure thorough application of aerospace quality requirements, and support existing production efforts meeting quality, schedule and cost objectives. You will participate in all phases of the system development life cycle—from concept through build, integration, and product delivery.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain work instructions, manufacturing process specifications, travelers, and special processes throughout the product life cycle.

  • Ensure manufacturing procedures comply with safety and environmental regulations.

  • Utilize specialty software applications to author, maintain and distribute shop work instructions.

  • Ensure manufacturing and associated procurement activities meet or exceed applicable aerospace quality requirements.

  • Create, submit, and implement change orders for manufacturing procedures and processes.

  • Implement design changes impacting new product development builds.

  • Review engineering drawings and provide feedback to responsible engineers.

  • Develop, maintain, and update bills of materials (BOM) for new product designs.

  • Participate in program, design, material, engineering, and safety review boards.

  • Evaluate manufacturing and quality control processes to drive continuous improvement.

  • Create and maintain build books and first-time build action item lists.

  • Optimize facility layouts, production lines, tooling, and test equipment.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Program Management, Quality, Engineering, Integrated Product Team Leads, Contractors, and Suppliers.

  • Drive action items to closure with cross-functional teams.

  • Mentor junior team members and support their professional development.

  • Provide training as needed to support production activities.

  • Work with other team members to stand-up and maintain safe, effective and compliant production facilities.

  • Support proper documentation, disposition and resolution on non-conforming hardware.

  • Lead design and acquisition of tooling to support production.

  • Manage projects using approved project management techniques.

  • Support manufacturing aspects of proposal activities.

  • Work with business leaders, engineers and technicians to meet manufacturing quality, schedule and cost objectives.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience working with Supply Chain and Manufacturing

  • 5+ years of experience with one or more of the following within the Manufacturing Operations function (Shop Floor Manufacturing Operations, Quality, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Supply Chain Management)

  • Experience with a Manufacturing, Engineering, and/or Aerospace Domain

  • Experience working with AS9100 and/or similar QMS standard

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with Product Data Management (PDM) or Bill of Material (BOM) software

  • Six Sigma certification

  • Experience with aerospace (aircraft/space vehicle) supply chain and manufacturing

  • Experience with Computer-aided Design Software (CAD)

  • Experience with Geometric Tolerancing

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary pay range: $120,700 - $163,300
