Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking an Information Technology Systems Administrator to join our Global Training Engineering team (GTE) located at Altus Air Force Base, OK.

The selected candidate will join the Global Training Engineering team (GTE) team and will be responsible for supporting the daily operations of computer network systems at Altus Air Force Base and various remote sites.

Your responsibilities will include installing, configuring, and maintaining hardware and software, as well as managing user accounts and network security to ensure reliable IT operations. You will also provide technical support and training to staff, assist end users with their IT needs, and develop long-range automation and IT planning strategies. By delivering excellent customer service, you will play a key role in maintaining efficient and secure IT systems for the organization.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, system upgrades, and network security.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access control.
  • Administer and update web pages, ensuring proper design, functionality, and interface.
  • Develop and implement long-range automation and IT planning strategies.
  • Prepare periodic reports and maintain system documentation.
  • Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and training to staff on IT systems and applications.
  • Assist end users with computer systems, applications, and general IT needs.
  • Deliver excellent customer service to ensure responsive and effective IT support.
  • Ability to work on site 5 days per week.  This is not a remote role.
  • May be asked to support other programs or perform additional duties.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • U.S. Citizenship (required to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (Interim or Final clearance required post-start).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with networks and network communication protocols.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 6 + years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • CompTIA Network+.
  • CompTIA Security+.
  • Knowledge of SQL database concepts, including merge replication, publications, upgrades, and scripting.
  • Experience with SharePoint administration and legacy support.
  • Background in website development and administration.
  • Proficiency with remote management tools (e.g., Atera).
  • Experience with VMware and virtualized environments.
  • Knowledge of backup systems, Active Directory, and Group Policy Object (GPO) management.
  • Familiarity with Checkpoint Firewalls and network security practices.
  • Experience with analog, digital, and VoIP phone systems.

Salary:   $58.08 per hour
