The Payroll Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely execution of payroll activities across payrolls assigned across EMEA Region (Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and the Middle East). This role supports end-to-end payroll operations, partnering with internal stakeholders and external providers to deliver compliant, efficient, and high-quality payroll services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Payroll Execution: Support first-time-quality execution of payroll processes for assigned countries, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with local regulations.
  • Employee Support: Address employee payroll inquiries promptly, providing accurate resolutions within agreed service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with CloudPay and TCS representatives to resolve issues and align on system features, integrations, and both pre- and post-payroll processes.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Assist in preparing and analyzing complex payroll and timekeeping management reports, ensuring data integrity and actionable insights.
  • Process Documentation: Maintain and enhance comprehensive payroll process documentation to ensure consistency, transparency, and continuity.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal teams—including Human Resources, Compensation & Benefits, and regional Business Support Managers—to streamline and strengthen payroll processes across organizations.
  • Compliance and Policy Management: Interpret and apply country-specific payroll regulations and policies, ensuring ongoing compliance with local labor and tax laws.
  • Internal Controls: Strengthen internal controls and continuously improve processes to align with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.

Technical Competencies

  • Should have advanced understanding and knowledge of Benelux and German countries payroll statutory requirements.
  • Prior experience with payroll & timekeeping platforms, including vendor relationships & management.
  • Understanding of pre payroll requirements, exception scenarios and ability to analyze and troubleshoot post payroll discrepancies.
  • Ability to understand the big picture and the inter-relationships of all positions and activities in the different HR, Payroll, Timekeeping & Attendance systems, and process including the impact of changes in one area on another area.
  • Ability to see and understand the inter-relationships between components of systems and plans, anticipate future events, and apply the principles of systems thinking to accelerate performance.

Preferred Requirements

  • Fluent English & German.
  • Extensive payroll experience within a global matrix organisation.
