The Boeing Company is looking for a Manager of Boeing Global Engagement – Eastern Region to join our team in Arlington, VA.

Boeing Global Engagement is responsible for the development and execution of giving strategies and community investment plans. The function leads employee community engagement opportunities, serves as subject matter experts for local community issues and provides recommendations to ensure effective and impactful community engagement.

As a manager, you will lead efforts to establish and manage relationships with community and business partners by networking, sharing information, and identifying opportunities for collaboration and philanthropic investment to maximize impact in the Eastern Region and promote Boeing as a good corporate citizen. You will support the needs of the business and the community by investing in strategically aligned programs with nonprofit organizations and supporting employee community engagement activities. Based in Arlington, VA, you are a member of the State Advocacy & Global Engagement team in the Eastern Region, collaborating with State Advocacy teammates on leveraging investments with elected officials and other stakeholders including Boeing employees.

This position manages employees developing corporate citizenship strategies and community relationships, including the analysis of community needs and development/implementation of investment plans consistent with company objectives. You will develop and execute integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provide input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals, and objectives. You will acquire resources for department activities, provide technical management of community engagement and lead process improvement for the function. You will also be asked to develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop actionable and measurable community investment plans that align to corporate strategies, and ensure effective investments of company resources to achieve business objectives

  • Help lead Boeing’s charitable grant process for your region, fostering and leveraging relationships with community leaders

  • Evaluate nonprofit operation and financial data, and assess organizational effectiveness

  • Work with the director, BGE, Eastern Region to allocate the business sponsorship budget in accordance with BGE strategy

  • Develop and implement a plan for employee community engagement

  • Support the Employees Community Fund of Boeing, a separate non-profit organization run by an employee Chapter Grantmaking Committee

  • Attendance is expected at community events and functions that may occur after business hours and on weekends.

  • Convene internal and external partners to collaborate and appropriately leverage charitable resources

  • Lead collaborative efforts with community leaders in order to promote Boeing’s brand and maximize the company’s corporate citizenship impact

  • Represent the company as needed on corporate citizenship related issues across the region

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work on-site at the Arlington VA site.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • 5+ years of experience in cross-functional leadership, collaborative problem solving, building lasting relationships & proficiency in written and verbal communication

  • 5+ years of experience creating executive level presentations using Word, Power Point and Excel

  • 5+ years of experience leading assessment and collaborative resolution of complex cross functional technical issues amongst multiple diverse stakeholders

  • 3+ years of experience developing & implementing charitable giving strategies

  • 3+ years of experience with executive strategic partnership as it pertains to managing grant programs

Summary Pay Range: $147,900-$200,100
