Boeing’s Law and Global Compliance│Corporate Compliance organization is seeking an experienced Senior Manager in the Emerging Enterprise Risk and Strategy function. The Emerging Enterprise Risk and Strategy team identifies new and emerging risks driven by legal, regulatory, and policy developments around the world, developing comprehensive risk mitigation strategies and strategies to facilitate compliance.

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform work onsite at one of the listed location options a minimum of three days per week. This is at the hiring manager’s discretion and could potentially change in the future. The position will also require occasional travel to other Boeing locations to facilitate further in-person collaboration and support business needs. 

This role presents an opportunity to have a meaningful, enterprise-wide impact when new legal risks emerge. Working in close collaboration with the business, this leader will develop comprehensive risk mitigation strategies designed to meet new legal requirements and ensure compliance. They will be responsible for coordinating across the Law and Global Compliance team and ensuring the strategies and actions are shared with relevant stakeholders.  The ideal candidate has a proven track record of developing and deploying effective strategies to address changing business needs and drive actions and results. They will be an active, agile leader who works collaboratively across businesses and functions in a rapidly changing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Risk Identification. As the Emerging Enterprise Risk and Management team monitors legal developments (legislation, regulations, or policies) around the world, identify those which present an emerging risk with a direct impact on the business.

  • Strategic Risk Assessment. Work closely with business units, subject matter experts, and Law and Global Compliance colleagues to evaluate new legal requirements and perform a risk assessment.

  • Risk Mitigation Strategy. Develop robust risk mitigation strategies to address new legal requirements.

  • Leadership. Develop strong relationships and establish credibility with business partners, stakeholders, and colleagues across the enterprise to effectively lead change to support new legal requirements. Manage and mentor analysts on the Emerging Enterprise Risk and Strategy and across the Corporate Compliance teams, supporting their professional development, providing clear guidance and expectations, and prioritizing outcomes over individual credit.

  • Enterprise-Wide Support. Develop a deep understanding of all business units within Boeing, including Boeing Commercial Airplanes, Boeing Defense, Space, and Security, and Boeing Global Services, to effectively identify impacts across the enterprise when new legal requirements emerge. Build relationships across the enterprise to facilitate collaborative, effective change management, compliance, and positive business outcomes.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

- A bachelor's degree or higher

- 10+ years of experience of:

  • Working in a highly regulated industry as a legal or compliance professional or;

  • Working collaboratively with business partners to proactively identify and assess new regulatory requirements, or;

  • Developing risk mitigation plans for new or emerging risks and directly managing employees responsible for execution

-5+ years as a manager, practice leader, or practicing regulatory attorney

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience in aviation, aerospace or other highly regulated industries with complex, ever-evolving requirements.

  • Advanced degree in a relevant discipline (JD, MBA, etc) or relevant certifications.

  • Experience in Compliance Risk Management Programs.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary Pay Range: $197,200 - $285,200
