Boeing Product Security Engineering (PSE) seeks a Project Engineer to lead the planning and execution of critical digital and technical innovation projects. This position will also lead initiatives that create and deliver key engineering guidance and instruction to strengthen PSE’s technical excellence across Boeing.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Senior (Level 4 or Level 5) ProjectEngineers.

The Senior Project Engineer will partner with program and engineering managers, executive fellows, and technical leads to define strategy, scope, schedules, resourcing, and drive execution of multiple concurrent initiatives. They will shape the operating rhythm, execution model, and methodologies to plan efficiently, manage risk, and adapt to changing conditions. This role will work with PSE and other multi-disciplinary skill teams to successfully deliver on commitments and transition to our partners.

Reporting to PSE senior executive leadership, this position will work closely with the Portfolio Manager/Chief of Staff, Centralized Engineering Leadership, and Executive Technical Fellows.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical engineering acumen with demonstrated project planning and execution experience and is an engaging, motivated leader of people.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Provides engineering leadership to multiple teams to ensure thoughtful strategic planning, development of objective statements of work, scheduling of work and estimating
  • Supports the development of strategic roadmaps and associated long-range business planning and financial requests
  • Partners proactively with management and technical leads to establish resource requirements
  • Proposes and implements operating models and rhythms appropriate for each scope of work, team composition, and commitments in coordination with leadership objectives and guidance
  • Coach and mentor teams in agile, SaFE and other project methods
  • Facilitates the execution of each project in partnership with management and technical leads, ensuring fulfilled commitments and successful transitions
  • Support management and technical leads in the execution of technical and financial performance to plan, with performance metrics and implementing continuous improvements
  • Support management and technical leads in the management of project risk, issues, and opportunities
  • Maintain project status and reporting materials for leadership and financial stakeholders
  • Drive ideation and implementation of process improvements
  • Prepare and present program status, assessments, corrective actions, and recommendations to program and Boeing leadership; uses KPIs and analytics to drive improvement.
  • Help manage and maintain project documentation
  • Help manage and maintain project access and tool access permissions and access control policies
  • Help manage and maintain team rosters, DLs, and access control groups

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • Level 4: 9+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience in systems design and/or systems analysis and/or systems integration
  • Experience working with complex engineering activities
  • Experience do you have developing & maintaining relationships & partnerships with senior executives and stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):

  • Level 5: 14+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, with ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience with project management and self- managing projects
  • Experience do you have leading projects as either a Project Manager or Integrator Role

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary Pay Range:

  • Senior (Level 4): $127,500 - $197,800
  • Senior (Level 5): $153,000 - $239,200
