Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for Quality Engineers (Level 2) to support the Emergent Operations in Fabrication team based out of Auburn, WA on 1st Shift.

Join our Emergent Operations in Fabrication team in Auburn, WA, as a Quality Engineer. This is an opportunity to be part of a passionate team dedicated to excellence in aerospace engineering. We are seeking highly motivated and technically oriented engineers who have experience working in a heavily regulated industry and possess an unwavering commitment to quality and compliance.

As a Quality Engineer, you will dive deep into the intricacies of our engineering documentation, assessing and enhancing how we translate complex requirements into clear, actionable instructions for our production teammates. Your role will be both challenging and rewarding, as you will engage directly in the building process through on-the-floor observations, ensuring that quality is not just a goal but a culture. You will also be a part of our safety and quality transformation through the execution of our Comprehensive Safety and Quality Plan. We value active listening and empathy and are looking for individuals who can communicate effectively with team members at all levels, fostering a collaborative environment that drives continuous improvement.

Position Responsibilities

  • Analyze engineering documentation to determine process capability and conformance

  • Perform data analysis of defect trends and present findings and recommendations

  • Lead projects to identify root cause and eliminate defects and rework

  • Execute quality build plan changes

  • Recommend corrective actions to address non-conformances.

  • Perform engineering change review and verification

  • Continuous improvement of quality engineering processes

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

  • 2+ years’ experience in Aerospace, Manufacturing, Quality, or another regulated industry

  • 2+ years of experience in summarizing and/or reviewing documentation to develop informational or technical materials

  • 2+ years’ experience collecting, organizing and analyzing data, summarizing findings, and developing conclusions

  • 2+ years’ experience applying Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) or other similar rigorous problems/analysis/resolution processes

  • 2+ years of experience leading or managing projects that involved cross-functional or cross-business unit teams

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering (Mechanical or related engineering)

  • ABET accredited engineering degree

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

  • 5+ years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Experience working in Quality Engineering or other production engineering job role

  • Experience working with AS9100 and/or similar QMS standard

  • Experience with analytics tools & software

  • Proactive and collaborative mindset with an emphasis on positive relationships

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written communication skills

Summary pay range: $89,250 - $120,750
