Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a Manufacturing Manager for Boeing Production System (BPS) and Compliance to support the organization's Line Side Control Centers (LSCCs) and innovation cell in Auburn, WA.

The Manufacturing Manager will serve as a compliance focal for the Manufacturing Business Unit (MBU). BPS functions include maintenance and further development of the MBU's Oobeya room and driving innovation and Lean implementation at all levels. Compliance functions include supporting internal and external auditors, conducting compliance assessments and driving a culture of compliance within the MBU.

The successful candidate will have a background in compliance within a highly regulated industry. They will also have knowledge of and experience in implementing Lean methodologies.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Primary contact for all compliance related subjects for the MBU

  • Focal point for Lean activities within the MBU

  • Manages employees performing activities in multiple manufacturing disciplines

  • Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies

  • Acquires resources, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports

  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes

  • Manages, develops and motivates employees

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Auburn, WA.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years’ experience with continuous process improvement initiatives

  • 3+ years’ experience in using Lean principles

  • 3+ years of experience in leadership either formally or informally leading teams in a cross-functional environment

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years’ experience in an aerospace, fabrication or manufacturing environment

  • 3+ years of experience leading the implementation of Lean Manufacturing and/or the Boeing Production System

  • 1+ years of experience in a compliance related role

  • Experience coaching team members and leaders in an operations environment influencing others

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary Pay Range: $109,800 - $134,200
