Boeing’s MP&P Engineering (Chemical/Contamination) team is looking for a Mid-Level or Senior levelMP&P Engineer based out of Auburn, Washington.

This role supports the chemical processing tank line operations at the Auburn, WA facility and helps to ensure the overall discipline to the Boeing Chemical Process Management program.

This is a dynamic position that will allow the successful candidate to have direct impact on Boeing's production system.

This role helps maintain compliance with contractual and regulatory obligations.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assuring operational compliance with specifications
  • Documenting tank line production procedures, working production and quality issues (e.g., racking, staining etc.)
  • Coordinating maintenance downtime and tank dumps with production needs
  • Providing technical requirements for tank line modifications and assisting in capital planning
  • Coordination with operations, maintenance and vendors with regard to any process improvements
  • Promotes standardization across business activities
  • Evaluates emerging technologies for potential application to business needs
  • Conducts complex analysis to determine performance or reasons for failures of tools, materials, parts or processes
  • Implements corrective and preventive actions  
  • Uses project management tools to meet cost, technical, and schedule requirements
  • Incorporates environmental health and safety, LEAN and Quality principles
  • Leads others and work statement, assist defining strategies and/or provides consultation

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
  • 5+ years of experience in chemical engineering and/or applied chemistry practices
  • 2+ years of experience working in a production environment

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with tank line operations
  • Experience in process engineering
  • Strong communication skills – both written & verbal
  • Analytical skills
  • Adaptability skills
  • Experience working in a diverse team
  • Experience with complex problem solving
  • Experience working with Process Hazard Analysis or similar

Summary pay range for Mid-Level (level 3): $119,850 - $162,150

Summary pay range for Senior (level 4): $146,200 - $197,800
