Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Quality Systems Specialist to support the Fabrication Core Quality Team based out of Auburn, Washington.

We are seeking a skilled Quality Systems Specialist to join our team. This role will be pivotal in ensuring early quality involvement in program development while also assisting in the development and integration of strategic programs and processes to meet business goals. The ideal candidate will possess a strong project management, analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and integration of programs, plans, strategies, and processes to meet business goals, including strategy and cost.

  • Support project management activities by coordinating project timelines, resources, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with business objectives and stakeholder expectations.

  • Facilitate project meetings to track progress, address issues, and ensure effective communication among team members and stakeholders.

  • Identify risks and opportunities, develop mitigation plans, and refine business cases for leadership approval.

  • Coordinate commitments with internal and external organizations to execute timely deliverables.

  • Support organizational culture and employee engagement initiatives by partnering with HR, site leadership, and functional teams to plan, implement, and track programs that drive inclusion, recognition, team cohesion, and morale.

  • Support safety and health programs by participating in safety reviews, incident investigations, corrective action tracking, and by helping to incorporate safety requirements into program plans and expectations.

  • Lead or contribute to special projects (e.g., continuous improvement pilots, cross-functional integration efforts, capability build initiatives) from scoping through implementation, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and measurable outcomes.

  • Develop and deliver communications, training, and engagement materials that promote quality, safety, and cultural initiatives; collect feedback and measure effectiveness to iterate on program design.

  • Serve as a visible change agent and liaison for culture, engagement, and safety topics, escalating barriers and helping leadership to prioritize interventions and resource allocation.

  • Work effectively in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment where projects may be undefined or evolving; rapidly scope, design, and iterate project plans, deliverables, and success criteria while balancing competing priorities and stakeholder expectations.

  • Collect, organize, and provide data according to established processes within the management system to maintain the status of programs, customer, commitments and compliance, ensuring follow-up actions for issue resolution.

  • Review proposals, contracts, regulatory, program, and customer requirements to ensure early quality involvement in program development. Prepare and maintain Quality directives, policies, processes, procedures, and metrics to assure compliance with program, contract, customer, regulatory requirements, international standards, and working agreements.

  • Analyze process data, metrics, models, and flows to identify root causes of problems, developing preventive or corrective actions in collaboration with stakeholders. Conduct quality source selection and process reviews to assess ability to meet program quality requirements and support business decisions.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience in managing projects through the full project lifecycle

  • 3+ years of experience data mining, processing, and analysis

  • 3+ years of experience developing presentations for leadership

  • 3+years of experience managing special projects and cross-functional initiatives

  • 3+years of experience facilitating and delivering communications to diverse employee groups.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science or another field related to SOW

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

  • Experience in project and program management; PMP Certification

  • Demonstrated experience supporting employee engagement, cultural initiatives, or safety-related activities (e.g., participation in engagement surveys, safety committees, or rollout of engagement/safety programs)

  • Comfortable operating in ambiguous situations and managing evolving or undefined projects in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience in applying LEAN manufacturing/BPSM techniques for process improvement.

  • Experience in manufacturing or factory support environment.

  • Knowledge of International Organization for Standardization (ISO9001), Aerospace Standard (AS9100)

  • Skill in utilizing different communication materials (e.g., proposals, papers, user guides, reports, articles, promotional materials, brochures, web sites, presentations, speeches) to a variety of customer requirements and environments

  • Experience leading or supporting safety program activities, incident investigations, corrective action plans, and integration of safety requirements into program management

  • Experience designing or executing culture and engagement programs (survey analysis, action planning, recognition programs, town halls, onboarding or leadership alignment)

  • Demonstrated ability to manage special projects and cross-functional initiatives with measurable outcomes and stakeholder buy-in

  • Proven ability to rapidly define scope, create structure, and deliver results for ambiguous or undefined projects while maintaining quality and stakeholder alignment.

  • Strong facilitation skills and experience delivering inclusive training or communications to employee groups

  • Project Management certifications related to statement of work i.e. PMP, CAPM

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Summary Pay Range: $94,350 - $127,650
