Provide high-quality interpretation and translation services to support Boeing’s business activities in China. Serve as a language and cultural resource to ensure accurate and effective communication across internal teams, external partners and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide consecutive and simultaneous interpretation for meetings, teleconferences, reviews and training sessions.

  • Translate technical and engineering documents, correspondence and presentations between Chinese and English, ensuring technical accuracy and intended meaning.

  • Develop and maintain subject-matter reference materials to support accurate and consistent translations.

  • Collaborate with writers, program team members, business partners and technical experts to verify terminology and clarify context.

  • Advise internal stakeholders on national and business cultural nuances to improve communication and meeting effectiveness.

  • Build and manage the company’s translation supplier network; select and coordinate external vendors as needed.

  • Coordinate translation and interpretation activities with external agencies under management direction.

  • Travel domestically and internationally as required to support meetings and events, including short-notice travel.

  • Follow professional standards and established codes of ethics for translators and interpreters, including strict confidentiality, impartiality and accurate, faithful conveyance of messages.

  • Perform other duties as requested by management.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Translation, English, or a related field from an accredited institution.

  • Minimum 3 years of professional translation/interpretation experience.

  • Native or near-native proficiency in both Chinese and English; proven ability to interpret for senior executives and translate aviation-related and general materials.

  • Strong familiarity with office computing tools and software for text editing, presentations, web browsing and email.

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently under general supervision; able to perform under pressure as part of a team or individually.

  • Willingness and ability to travel, occasionally on short notice.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with aerospace or engineering terminology.

  • Familiarity with translation memory tools and terminology management systems.

  • Certifications in interpretation or translation.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication.

  • Strong attention to detail and technical accuracy.

  • Cultural awareness and diplomatic communication skills.

  • Vendor management and coordination skills.

  • Professional integrity and discretion.
