Position Overview:

Boeing Talent Acquisition is currently looking to hire Associate Software Engineer – Common Core Systems for Boeing India Software Engineering (BISE) to join their team in Bengaluru, India. We are seeking a young engineer who possesses a solid understanding of aircraft configurations and familiarity with avionics data. The ideal candidate should have knowledge of software change sequences and the ability to comprehend and validate requirements from hosted applications, Build and Releasing software using Boeing tools who can also Collaborate effectively with stakeholders to ensure project success and alignment with organizational goals.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop Build Option Selection Software in accordance with hosted application requirements using the OSST web-based tool for the 787 and 777-9 aircraft.
  • Conduct requirement validation for Eight hosted applications, including ECS, CMCF, NAV , Displays, and others.
  • Execute software build releases utilizing ENOVIA, BEDS, and Velocity platforms.
  • Provide support for 787 production, retrofit, and BGS projects.
  • Collaborate and interact with project teams located in the U.S., Poland, and Brazil.
  • Work closely with the Build team, Software Quality Assurance (SQA), Release, and Hosted Application groups to ensure seamless integration and delivery.

Basic Qualification:

  • A Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field is required as a fundamental qualification.
  • The ideal candidate should be a self-motivated individual who thrives in a team environment.
  • Basic programming knowledge in Python is essential.
  • Experience in analyzing software requirements is necessary.
  • Familiarity with parametric data item builds and certification activities is required.
  • Exposure to software life cycle data within the aerospace domain is preferred.
  • Strong experience in aerospace domain projects is essential.
  • Knowledge on Common Core System Platform is preferred
  • Ability to proactively communicate with all stakeholders and take initiative to resolve production issues.
  • Strong analytical skills and critical thinking abilities are a must.
  • Exposure to Aircraft Configuration and Airplane Data for Boeing 787, 777-9
  • Familiarity with DO-178C standards is advantageous.
  • Experience with tools such as TFS, ITRACS, OSST, ENOVIA, and BEDS is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications: (Desired Skills/Experience)

  • Develop and maintain relationships / partnerships with customers, team members, peers, and partners to develop collaborative plans and complete projects.
  • Demonstrate strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Be fluent in written and spoken English, and have high degree of proficiency with MS Office tools to prepare comprehensive reports, presentations, proposals, and Statements of Work.

  • Typical Education & Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5+ years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master +4 years' related work experience.)
