Position Overview
Boeing India Engineering has an immediate opening for an Experienced Structural Analysis Engineer to join the Mechanical & Structures Engineering Team located at Bangalore, India. The specific job level is 3, which includes candidate with 9 to 12 years of experience depending on the educational qualification. Our team of engineers support over 14,000 aircraft around the globe, and work closely with our customers to ensure that their fleet is operating safely, efficiently, and reliably. This role will be based out of Bangalore, India.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Perform Stress analysis for various types of production non conformances
  • Stress analysis includes calculation of loads, Static analysis, Fatigue analysis, Damage-Tolerance analysis using hand calculation methods.
  • Understand the structure and the repair disposition and come up with analysis approach to qualify/certify the part under minimal guidance.
  • Evaluate structural integrity of aircraft components by way of classical hand calculations and, finite element method.
  • Generate documentation to report analysis and, test results to support certification/qualification.
  • Support Gated Reviews to validate the quality and completeness of work packages.
  • Familiar with regulatory framework (FAA and Mil-Spec), for warranting safety and regulatory compliance.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.
  • Must have experience working with cross-functional teams spread across multiple products and locations within Boeing and external partners.
  • Must be flexible, with a high tolerance for organizational complexity and ability to work with partners from within Boeing and outside, across different cultures and time-zones.
  • Communication - strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to prepare comprehensive reports, proposals. Candidate must be fluent in English, and familiar with MS Office tools.
  • Candidate must be a self-starter with a positive attitude, high ethics, and a track record of working successfully under pressure in a time-constrained environment.
  • Candidate must demonstrate excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to mentor and teach subordinates and partners to accomplish project and departmental goals and objectives.


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience in Stress liaison & Concession analysis for various types of production non conformances
  • Familiarity with Boeing in-house stress analysis tools and repair analysis approaches
  • Experience in structural analysis of various airframe structures.
  • Experience with structural analysis of metallic and composite structures.
  • Experience with static and fatigue analysis
  • Robust understanding of engineering fundamentals such as material properties, Free-body diagrams, structural loads and analysis methods
  • Candidate demonstrates excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills to liaise with several Stakeholders
  • Ability to work across functional teams and organizations
  • Willingness to expand into technical areas without prior experience
  • Desire to continuously improve our airplanes
  • Intermediate level experience in utilizing FEM software (e.g., ABAQUS, PATRAN/NASTRAN, Hyperworks)
  • Intermediate level experience in utilizing industry CAD systems (e.g., CATIA/ENOVIA)


Typical Education & Experience:

  • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master with 8+ years of work experience, etc.).
