Boeing India Engineering is currently looking for an ExperiencedStructural Repair Engineer (Customer Support) to join Maintenance Engineering team in Bangalore, India. These positions will focus on supporting the Boeing Commercial (BCA) business organization and offer a unique opportunity to work on complex technical challenges in support of safety operations and return to service.

A successful candidate will understand the importance of collaboration as these positions will focus on working directly with the Maintenance Engineering Team to implement the Structural Repair solutions.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Perform detailed analysis and interpretation of source data to understand the impact it should have on the Structural Repair Manual to ensure technical accuracy.
  • Working with cross-functional teams to provide repair analysis of interim and final engineering solutions to return airplanes to service and ensure meeting assigned production schedules and deadlines.
  • Proactively seek information and direction to successfully complete the statement of work.
  •  Assesses complex system events reports to determine potential safety issues.
  • Adhere to established technical publication standards and procedures
  • Write documentation and illustrations about aircraft structural repair.
  • Supporting research on technical, operational and quality issues that cannot be resolved by the customer with analytical skills to determine solutions and resolve problems.
  • Demonstrate strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Take an inquiry from the customer, research the problem, and compose an answer.
  • Meet and sustain performance (production/quality) standards and verify compliance.
  • Willing to work flexible hours (early or late as needed) to interface with Boeing personnel around the world.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• A Bachelor’s degree in engineering or higher is required as a Basic Qualification.

• 8 or more years of experience in Structures Engineering.

• Experience on technical authoring and illustrations of various airplane maintenance documents

• Experience supporting end users in a customer service role.

• Experience collaborating with multiple team functions

• Knowledge of Structures on Boeing commercial airplane models as it applies to maintenance.

• Knowledge on Structural repair, maintenance and retrofit processes and practices.

• Knowledge on airworthiness regulatory agencies and Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins and related Maintenance documents

• Experience in structure failure analysis, root cause analysis, and troubleshooting on Boeing commercial airplane models.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• A Bachelor’s degree in engineering or higher in one of the streams (Mechanical or    Aeronautical Engineering)

• Experience supporting end users in a customer service role.

• Experience working with MRB (Material Review Board) activities related to aircraft structures.

• Experience working transport category airplane certification or production or maintenance in fleet support projects involving FAA approval.

• Knowledge of airplane maintenance and flight operation documentation.

Typical Education & Experience:

• Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education e.g., Bachelor’s and typically 8 or more years' related work experience or Masters plus 7 Years of experience.
