Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Manufacturing, Safety & Quality --- Air Dominance Lean team is looking to add an experienced Lean Practitioner (Level 4). The successful candidate will be a Lean+ / Operational Excellence expert to support Boeing Production System implementation, and maturity, working collaboratively across the F-15 Production System to embed lean principles and tactics to achieve business objectives.

This teammate will be responsible for working in partnership with BDS Program and manufacturing teams, along with other stakeholders throughout the enterprise, to drive the integration of BPS / Operational Excellence best practices to enable world-class manufacturing system performance and efficiency. This includes training and implementation of 5S+ standard practices across the STL Site and Air Dominance Programs to achieve key milestones maturing sustained 5S+ practices to world class levels.

The successful candidate will be expected to apply an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach with internal and external partners and leverage his/her knowledge of manufacturing processes, Lean Six Sigma, safety, quality, productivity, and affordability to shape the planning, development, and execution of Lean+ manufacturing solutions to satisfy program needs.

Position Responsibilities:

oInstructs others in continuous improvement tools and principles.

oDevelops and updates instructional materials.

oMentors future instructors and less experienced practitioners.

oWorks with internal or external customers.

oLeads and facilitates complex process improvement efforts.

oIdentifies risks and opportunities for improvement.

oCreates enhancements to existing improvement tools.

oSupports the development and deployment of new tools.

oSupports business acquisition.

oParticipates in the evaluation process.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.  An interim and/or final U.S. secret clearance Post Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

oBachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field

o3+ year of experience implementing continuous process improvement, lean processes, and employee involvement and engagement strategies in a manufacturing environment

o5+ years’ of experience managing metrics to drive data driven solutions/decisions

o3+ experience leading or managing process improvement projects

oDemonstrated experience planning and facilitating Lean+ workshops (e.g., AIW / 3P / Kaizen / Voice of Customer) 

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

oMaster’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering

oExperience in Lean Manufacturing

o5+ year of experience implementing continuous process improvement, lean processes, and employee involvement and engagement strategies in a manufacturing environment

o10+ years’ of experience managing metrics to drive data driven solutions/decisions

o5+ experience in leading or managing process improvement projects

Summary pay range: $116,450-$157,550 USD
