The Boeing Support Equipment Engineering group is seeking a dynamic First Line Manager to lead a team of electrical engineers specializing in Integrated Diagnostics for aircraft systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, technical expertise in engineering or a related field, and a passion for innovation in aerospace technology. This role involves managing day-to-day operations, fostering team development, and ensuring the successful execution of projects that enhance aircraft diagnostic capabilities.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers, promoting a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of Integrated Diagnostics projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and timelines. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements and implement best practices to improve efficiency and effectiveness within the team. Monitor project progress and performance metrics, making data-driven decisions to optimize outcomes.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding project status and technical inquiries. Facilitate communication between engineering teams, management, and other departments to ensure alignment and collaboration.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • 4+ years of experience in a leadership role, managing or leading engineering teams and projects.
  • Understanding of aircraft systems, diagnostics, and relevant technical requirements.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience as a CAM (cost account manager) in EVM (earned value management)
  • Willing and able to travel up to 10% of the time
  • Experience in supporting proposals or contracts with US Government, including any or all of the following: creating an IP strategy, harvesting background IP, completing data rights assertion tables, identifying and reporting subject inventions, and advising on marking requirements

Summary pay range:  $141,100 - $190,900
