The Boeing Company is actively seeking a First Line Manager to join the Infrastructure Team at the Boeing Virtual Warfare Center (VWC) in Berkeley, MO.

The manager will lead the Infrastructure Operations team responsible for keeping the operational and software development environments working and secure. The Infrastructure Operations Manager will be responsible for developing and executing project plans.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Establish and refine the IT Service Delivery Model for the VWC.

  • Manages employees performing technician and technical activities in support of all Virtual Warfare Center Infrastructure Operations duties.

  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.

  • Manage and provide developmental opportunities for employees

  • Coach and mentor team to further their skills, develop their talent, and ensure they are leading fulfilled and motivated careers

  • Lead projects to insert new technology to align with the VWC’s transformation strategy, and to meet our program, compliance, and security needs

  • Perform long range business planning, acquiring and deploying capital, and managing budgets

  • Provide consultation and support to our business leaders to meet their technological needs

  • Develop and execute project and process plans, implement policy improvements and changes, set operational goals for the groups, and acquire resources needed to continuously improve the work product

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active).

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.

  • Experience supporting a Classified IT environment.

  • 5+ years of experience leading engineering or Information Technology (IT) teams across multiple functions

  • 5+ years of experience in using project management methodologies, including developing project plans, performance management, and managing issues and risks

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Highly preferred: Current active Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance.

Typical Summary pay range: $129,200 - $174,800
