Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS)’s Air Dominance Engineering division seeks an Engineering Technical Specialist for the Air Dominance Engineering Operations team in Berkeley, Missouri to strengthen St. Louis Engineering partnerships, expand student access to Engineering experiential learning programs, and to support Engineering talent pipeline goals.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Plan, execute, and manage Engineering programs and initiatives across three integrated areas: Engineering Outreach, Student Purchase Services (SPS), and Engineering Core Recruitment School Outreach.

  • Engineering Outreach – in collaboration with State Advocacy and Global Engagement develop and support Engineering outreach / experiential learning programs to grow the Engineering talent pipeline.

  • Student Purchase Services – develop and manage student-focused procurement programs, discounts, and purchasing channels for eligible students and local Universities.

  • Engineering Core Recruitment School outreach – in collaboration with Global University Recruiting, cultivate Engineering relationships with universities and technical / community colleges to support Engineering curriculum alignment, research collaborations, Student Purchase Services, internships, and entry-level talent pipeline growth.

  • Support St. Louis Engineering recruitment events, campus visits, and faculty engagement initiatives.

  • Manage budgets for Engineering outreach programs and Student Purchase Services initiatives.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders – Engineering Capability Leaders, State Advocacy and Global Engagement, Global University Recruiting, Human Resources, Operations, Information Technology, Supply Chain, Finance, Procurement, and Communications.

  • Define KPIs – collect quantitative and qualitative data to determine impact of Engineering outreach initiatives.

  • Provide regular updates and quarterly impact summaries with recommendations to Senior leadership.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

  • 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience

  • 2+ years University / College outreach and recruiting

  • 2+ years using Excel to perform data analysis

  • 2+ years creating Power Point and Word documents for data visualization

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree

  • Experience in volume hiring and recruiting

  • Demonstrated interest in personal learning and development as well as process improvement

  • Ability to accomplish tasks through formal channels and informal networks; an understanding of the cultures of organizations and ability to apply this information in a way that strengthens the organization's strategic plan and outcomes

  • Excellent spoken and written communication across organizations

Summary pay ranges:

Mid-Level (Level 3): $85,000 - $115,000
