Be a part of building the best fighter combat training devices in support of the warfighter! The Mission Assurance Air Dominance Test Team, a part of Government Training Engineering (GTE) within Boeing Global Services (BGS), is seeking an experienced Fighter Pilot to conduct system design, integration, and test for the various training devices/simulators across several platforms to include F-22, F-15, F/A-18, EA-18G, T-7, and T-45 in St. Louis, MO. To be considered for this position, a candidate Subject Matter Expert (SME) must have experience as a Pilot in high-performance 4.5 and/or 5th Gen combat jet aircraft.

Position Responsibilities:

  • The successful candidate will work independently and will assist other members of the Test Team in the performance of day-to-day operations in a fast-paced testing environment.
  • Team members create and execute Test Procedures to validate that the trainers correctly simulate the represented combat aircraft and the operational environment.
  • Team members will help develop system requirements and perform all aspects of system testing in various immersive USAF and USN combat training systems.
  • Off shift and weekend work may be occasionally required to meet contractual milestones, objectives and delivery schedules
  • Occasional domestic or international travel will be required.
  • This is a mid-level to senior grade position
  • While waiting for security clearance, SME candidates will work with the Systems Engineering and Integration teams to familiarize with the training devices and processes, and, in addition, they will instruct other engineers on how to decipher technical orders and aircrew academics.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Experience flying in 4.5 and/or 5th Generation fighter jet aircraft within the last 6 years.
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, overtime, and occasional weekends as necessary.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience in an aircraft test environment
  • Technical Bachelor’s degree or higher

Summary Pay Range: $155,000 to $185,000
