Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) Integrated Planning & Scheduling (IP&S) has an exciting opportunity for a Mid-Level or Senior Integrated Planning & Scheduling Specialist (Level 3 or 4) to support the Tooling and Fabrication IP&S team in Berkeley, Missouri, reporting to the Tooling and Fabrication IP&S manager.

The position will lead a diverse team comprised of Production Schedulers, Tooling Schedulers, and Fab Integrators.  This person also has responsibility for training and developing the technical expertise of the team and will serve as a subject matter expert on matters pertaining to policies, processes, plans, and objectives. 

The candidate must have demonstrated analytical capability and excellent communication skills with the ability to interface with multiple levels of leadership. Flexibility, initiative, detail orientation, ability to multi-task and willingness to learn new areas are essential requirements to successfully perform in this dynamic and exciting environment.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Prepares, coordinates, integrates, analyzes and maintains, integrated plans and schedules for proposals, projects, programs and major initiatives at all levels across functional value streams to meet program and/or project objectives.
  • Track, plan, schedule and perform risk analysis for projects, programs and change activities throughout the lifecycle of a program.
  • Performs studies/analysis and planning efforts, within and/or across programs/projects, organizations or business units to determine impacts, constraints and plans involving product development, production rates, process improvement, or program initiatives.
  • Develops the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and support elements and drives program planning in support of Program requirements and objectives.
  • Integrates program plans and schedules, horizontally and vertically, across company functional, product groups, suppliers and partners.
  • Identifies, analyzes and reports schedule performance variances. Performs schedule-related risk and opportunity analyses and provides potential solutions to management.
  • Works with customers to develop performance recovery plans and incorporates in relevant documentation where appropriate.
  • Performs schedule, event and change impact analysis.
  • Maintains disciplined revision control of all planning/schedule baselines.

This position will oversee Fabrication and Tooling Schedulers, where tasks include:

  • Oversee Fabrication and Tooling Schedulers across multiple platforms and Programs.
  • Coordinate and lead Fabrication Integration meetings, including cross-site subject matter experts to drive adherence and process consistency across the BDS Fabrication Centers of Excellence (CoEs).
  • Lead various Fab Integration initiatives as defined by IP&S Home Office and/or Fabrication leadership.
  • Analyze program what-if scenarios to facilitate Supply Chain and Fabrication impact assessment of proposed schedule changes using tools such as the Assurance of Supply (AoS) Bom Simulation and MPS Simulation tools.
  • Work with various stakeholders to ensure Fab and Tooling schedules support Program needs.
  • Assist in development of Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) tasks for Program Critical Tools by working in Open Plan Professional (OPP) and with Control Account Manager (CAMs) to update status, along with managing and providing insight for the Material Vertical Integration (MVI) process and Earned Value Management System (EVMS).
  • Build reports and share analysis of data to applicable managers as needed to drive decisions.
  • Raise awareness when plans start slipping or if seeing potential impact to downstream customers.
  • Help develop scheduling team members, recommending, coordinating, and leading training as needed.
  • Work with IP&S Core for implementation of new production scheduling and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) software.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required.  “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 3+ years experience in program planning, project management, integrated scheduling, Industrial Engineering, Business Operations, and/or related disciplines
  • 3+ years experience working with and partnering with cross-functional teams on projects and initiatives
  • 3+ years of experience with Common System Boeing Recurring and Independent Demand Scheduling system (BRAIDSS) application
  • 3+ years experience using Integrated Scheduling tools such as Microsoft Project, Open Plan Professional, Primavera, etc.
  • 3+ years experience working with Microsoft Office Applications

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years working knowledge of BRAIDSS, Production Scheduling methodology and MRP demand
  • 5+ years experience using Open Plan Professional
  • 3+ years experience using manufacturing tools (MESci, etc)

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Travel: May require occasional travel up to 10%.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range:

Mid Level (Level 3): $87,550 - $118,450

Senior (Level 4): $107,950 - $146,050
