The Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a Senior Technology Strategy Analyst (Level 5 or 6) to support the BDS Technology Strategy team in Berkeley, MO.

A successful candidate should understand the importance of collaboration as this position will focus on working directly with the BDS Technology Strategy team (Divisional Lead Technology Integrators, Capability Technology Integrator, and Technology Strategy Leaders), Business Development and Strategy teams to develop, implement, and maintain key technology deliverables to support BDS Research and Development (R&D) portfolio to enable the BDS Technology planning and execution.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Engage with BDS Technology Strategy team to coordinate BDS activities in support of key initiatives

  • Assembling data and preparing briefings and other artifacts on BDS technology investments

  • Works effectively and cooperatively with others; establishes and maintains good working relationships

  • Effectively manages time and resources to ensure that work is completed efficiently

Position Responsibilities: 

  • Directs others and researches processes, applications, systems and data to identify functional requirements for application or system design.

  • Interprets and translates highly complex requirements into functional specifications.

  • Leads and performs activities to develop and execute tests to validate system functionality against specifications.

  • Consults with customers to clarify and refine requirements.

  • Knowledgeable of how the business and organization operates; knowledgeable of policies, practices, trends, and information affecting the business and organization; understands the competition and the marketplace.

  • Applies this information in a way that contributes to the organizations strategic plan and bottom line.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Berkeley, MO.

Travel may be required up to 10% of the time; Domestically depending on business needs.

This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):    

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

  • 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in data analytics

  • Experience with organizing & facilitating virtual meetings and supporting virtual teams

  • Experience leading or managing projects that involved cross-cutting capabilities or divisional teams

  • Experience communicating to employees, customers, peers and all levels of leadership

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Top-Secret Clearance

  • Experience with or supporting BDS programs and/or divisions

  • Experience with R&D disciplines across technologies (i.e.: Infrastructure, Application, Computing Security, and/or System Integration)

  • Project Management experience

  • Experience working with BDS Strategy organization

  • Experience with the various databases which supports technology planning (SPOT) and execution (IR&D Planner)

  • Experience producing and executing a Technical Information and Technology plan

  • Experience working across multiple Engineering disciplines and Digital Enterprise

Typical Education & Experience:

Level 5
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Level 6

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 20 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Work Shift:

This position will be for first shift.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary pay range (Level 5): $140,250 - $189,750

Summary pay range (Level 6): $164,900 - $223,100
