Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager - Quality & Compliance to join our team located in Berkeley, MO!

The Quality organization is hiring a Senior Manager (M) to lead core functional responsibilities within the Air Dominance and St. Louis region. This position will lead Quality Functional strategies including but not limited to Quality Management System health, site AS9100 compliance oversight and the continuous improvement of our processes and tools. Effective planning, communication, and integration skills are critical to the success of this role. This position will support the Quality Senior Director for Air Dominance in driving the business performance, and will lead site-wide initiatives on behalf of the executive leadership team.

  • Monitor QMS health across St. Louis; work with cross-functional leaders to identify and mitigate areas of risk
  • Drive Quality Functional Excellence and consistency as a Skill Team Leader
  • Partner with Program Quality Leaders to improve our onboarding & training processes
  • Lead digital transformation strategy for St. Louis Quality
  • Lead customer engagement activities with DCMA to prevent and address Customer CARs
  • Ensure accuracy of staffing forecasts, and engage with HR and BDS Quality on talent recruitment and outreach
  • Manage Site Quality costs associated with Bulks and Overhead spend

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages employees and mid-level managers performing management activities across multiple (2 or more) Quality Management Job Families.
  • Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies.
  • Provides education and coaching on the Quality System.
  • Acquires and manages resources and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, suppliers and direct reports.
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees and mid-level managers.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An Interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of Management Experience
  • 5+ years of relevant Production System experience (Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain)
  • 5+ years demonstrated experience problem solving using Root Cause Corrective Action methodologies
  • AS9100 QMS Experience & Knowledge

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Prior Quality or Supplier Quality experience
  • Prior experience setting and managing budgets
  • Prior experience defining and working with Digital Tools and Analytics
  • Demonstrated experience using LEAN and continuous improvement concepts
  • Prior experience effectively managing Customer and/or Regulatory relationships

Travel:

This position may require travel up to 10% of the time.

Summary pay range: USD: $175,500 - $214,500
