Boeing Phantom Works is seeking SeniorPhantom Works Safety Management System Integrator to join their team on-site in Berkeley, MO.

This position will support the implementation and continuous improvement of SMS. In this capacity, the selected candidate will work with leaders across Phantom Works as well as other functional partners (Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain) to integrate and manage priority activities in the SMS. As identified in Boeing’s Values, safety and quality are critical to the safe design, manufacture and ultimately operation of our BDS products.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Coordinates with engineering teams, project administrators, and regulators (may include international regulators/validation authorities) to successfully certify projects for commercial aircraft production teams
  • Supports execution and integration of SMS across Phantom Works and interface with SMS Boards
  • Performs Safety Risk management for identified hazards
  • Engages with senior business leaders and executives to promote the SMS within the Phantom Works
  • Supports identification and alignment of quality and safety metrics within Phantom Works and its interfacing organizations
  • Collaborates with the BDS SMS team to promote a positive safety culture, employee reporting, and an atmosphere of trust where people are encouraged, and even rewarded, for providing product safety and quality related information
  • Supports employee reporting through investigation of Speak Up reports and advocacy of Speak Up
  • Monitors external environment and interfacing organizations for impacts to SMS risk of Phantom Works processes
  • Assesses SMS risk of process changes

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

  • 9+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):

  • Active US Secret Clearance
  • Experience in a role that required excellent verbal and written skills with ability to communicate task progress and challenges within team and with technical leadership, both internal and external
  • Experience with Safety Management Systems (SMS)
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams or projects

Summary Pay Range: $131,750 - $178,250
