The Boeing Company’s Information Digital Technology & Security (IDT&S) organization is currently seeking a Senior Portfolio Management Focal to support Boeing Defense, Space, and Security (BDS) Sapphire team in Berkeley, MO;Everett, WA; North Charleston, SC; Plano, TX; or Seattle, WA.

Boeing Defense, Space, and Security (BDS) is modernizing its foundational product lifecycle management (PLM), manufacturing operations management (MOM), and enterprise resources planning (ERP) systems; enhancing its data strategies; and improving the alignment of its execution processes via a program called Sapphire that is a joint effort between BDS and Boeing’s IDT&S organization.

As the Portfolio Management focal for BDS Sapphire, you will support the BDS Chief Information Officer (CIO) organization. This role will work closely with the BDS CIO Portfolio Management Lead, the Vice President and Program Manager of BDS Sapphire, and the BDS Sapphire Leadership Team.

The Portfolio Management role is a challenging leadership development position requiring versatility and resilience. The ideal candidate will possess the technical acumen required for this role while also having a proven track record of managing cross-functional teams, and the ability to lead initiatives across IDT&S to achieve positive results.

In this high-visibility role, this Portfolio Management (PfM) focal will report to the Business Operations Senior Manager/Chief of Staff supporting the BDS CIO organization’s Sapphire Program Management Office.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Partner closely with the BDS Sapphire Program Manager and Sapphire Leadership Team (LT) to ensure financial decisions align with the program roadmap and strategic priorities

  • Translate financial data into meaningful insights to support strategic planning and investment decisions

  • Provide financial management and oversight of the $150M+ budget for the Sapphire Program, ensuring alignment with program milestones and deliverables

  • Support annual long-range business planning cycles, including scenario modeling and trade-off analysis

  • Build and gain trust across the immediate team and associated stakeholders

  • Improve tools, reporting, and processes to drive efficiency and accuracy in financial management

  • Manage stakeholder relationships across the organization, ensuring effective communication and alignment on strategic priorities

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience working in a cross-functional environment with all levels in the business from individual contributors to executive leadership

  • 5+ years of experience working in Finance or Portfolio Management

  • 3+ years of experience in Information Technology or similar domains

  • Ability to travel up to 10% domestically

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work or military experience

  • 5+ years of experience collaborating internally across multiple organizations to achieve results

  • Experience in Program Management

  • Experience managing and/or leading a team either formally or informally, with guiding, mentoring, and supporting team members

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $140,250 – $203,550
