The Boeing Company has an exciting opportunity and is looking for a Senior Product Configuration & Data Management Engineer, to join the Air Dominance team in Berkeley, MO in support of an exciting proprietary program that is critical to Boeing and our DoD Customers.

The selected candidate will lead a team of Product Lifecycle Management engineers and technicians supporting development of a complex and highly integrated weapons system while embracing the Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Digital Engineering strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and performing configuration planning, identification, change control, status accounting, verification and audit, extracting technical product definition data, and facilitating program baseline management.

The candidate will work with and assist Senior Leadership in establishing robust Systems Engineering, Configuration Management, and Data Management processes across the lifecycle of the system.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Leads a team providing configuration management, coordination of changes and performance of assessments of compliance for a large development program

  • Develops new and innovative approaches aligned with industry best practices for the development and management of process and product baselines

  • Works with industry experts to develop new and innovative methods and technologies for product and subsystem level technical design reviews and audits for deployment across the enterprise

  • Works with industry experts to develop new and innovative methods and technologies for change management

  • Leads industry teams in the development of industry, national and international standards that apply to Configuration and Data Management

  • Consults with the developers of new and innovative enterprise level Configuration Management and Data Management processes and tools

  • Consults on the development, integration and implementation of Configuration Management, Data Management and engineering technical plans spanning the enterprise to ensure alignment with corporate strategy

  • Collects, analyzes and validates engineering change and performance metrics, and coordinates organizational requirements to support business needs

  • Works independently

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Berkeley, MO.

Travel may be required up to 10% of the time; Domestically and/or Internationally depending on business needs.

This position requires an active Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required)

  • A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement

  • 20+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 10+ years of experience in Configuration and Data Management across multiple phases of product lifecycle

  • 5+ years of experience as a Team Lead or Managing a team through influence

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):

  • 10+ years of experience with managing multiple configurations in a Digital Engineering environment

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to understand the big picture and the inter-relationships of all positions and activities in the system, including the impact of changes in one area on another area

  • Knowledge of responsibilities and tasks performed by various Engineering departments/disciplines (e.g., design, test, software, technology, avionics)

  • Ability to determine the process to be used to accomplish goals, properly document processes, know how to organize people and activities, understand how to separate and combine tasks into efficient work flow, identify opportunities for synergy and integration, and simplify complex processes

  • Technically well-grounded and willingness to seek out and integrate the contributions of subject matter experts when new opportunities and problems arise

Summary pay range: $188,700 - $255,300
