The opportunity

BDA's Operations Integration team delivers BDA-wide projects spanning from transformative initiatives through to internal projects, and continuous improvement. We also focus on process management to create more efficiency, generating capacity and value for our customers.

Our teams have direct connections to all areas of BDA and the broader Boeing Enterprise to support our collective priorities.

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Continuous Improvement Focal to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing continuous improvement initiatives across various departments, focusing on eliminating waste, enhancing integration, and improving overall efficiency.

This role requires a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for improvement and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive positive change.

Responsibilities will include

  • Develop and implement continuous improvement strategies that align with organisational goals.Conduct assessments to identify areas of waste and inefficiency within processes.
  • Collaborate with teams to gather data, analyse processes, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Facilitate workshops and training sessions to promote a culture of continuous improvement and engage employees at all levels.
  • Monitor and measure the effectiveness of implemented initiatives, providing regular updates to management.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to ensure alignment and integration of improvement initiatives across departments.
  • Utilise problem-solving techniques to address challenges and develop innovative solutions.
  • Foster a collaborative environment that encourages feedback and the sharing of best practices.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in continuous improvement to drive innovation within the organisation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Proven experience in process improvement, operational excellence, or a similar role.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead change initiatives and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Familiarity with various continuous improvement methodologies (not limited to Lean or Six Sigma) is a plus.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in an operational, manufacturing, logistics, or service-oriented environment.
  • Knowledge of tools and software for process mapping, data analysis, and project management.
  • Certification in continuous improvement methodologies is a plus but not required
