The opportunity

We are currently seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to support our internal and customer training programs.

The role is based in Brisbane, but preferred candidates must be willing and able to travel to other sites as required.

As an Instructional Designer, you will develop engaging training and provide specialist support to both our internal and our customer support training programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyse training requirements and develop innovative, relevant and engaging technical training support solutions
  • Design, develop and implement tailored training programs, materials and assessments using contemporary and emerging methodologies
  • Assist in the evaluation of new instructional strategies, methods, technologies and tools related to training design, development and delivery for internal and external customers
  • Review training products to ensure that they comply with commercial, government, regulatory and organisational standards, specifications, processes and procedures as applicable
  • Engage and collaborate with subject experts, customer representatives and internal stakeholders to develop, test, validate and deliver courseware content in accordance with requirements

Experience/Qualifications

Essential:

  • Demonstrated experience in the design, development, testing and evaluation of technical training programs
  • Experience with multimedia development, editing and production
  • 5+ years' experience in training design and development
  • Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively under limited supervision in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to produce high quality work within tight timeframes
  • Highly developed written and oral communication/ interpersonal skills
  • Ability to obtain a NV1 Defence Security Clearance
  • Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet Defence security requirements

Desirable:

  • Experience with Defence Training 
  • Experience Developing innovative, relevant and engaging training solutions
  • High attention to detail and exceptional organisational skills
