Position Overview

Based in the Brisbane CBD, we are looking for a skilled schedule practitioner to join and be a key part of the Integrated Planning & Scheduling Office (IPSO).

Working closely with the IPSO Technical Lead, you will be immersed in Boeing Schedule Best Practices with a strategic focus on Programmatic planning that will enable you to support the needs of many different executing projects. In this role, you will also support the deployment of enhanced scheduling tools across the business.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the initial deployment of enhanced scheduling tools across BDA.
  • Lead the subsequent deployment and implementation of scheduling tools across BDA
  • Provide first-line tool support for BDAs scheduling tools suite.
  • Support the development and delivery of IP&S training focused on upskilling our schedule practitioners, project managers and Control Account Managers (CAMs)
  • Support programmatic development and maintenance of strategic planning artifacts to support execution.
  • Analyse schedule execution data to identify trends and recommend continuous improvement.
  • Provide surge support for complex scheduling efforts aligned with program execution plans, demonstrating leadership and accountability

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience with Open Plan Professional (OPP) in the Defence industry, COBRA usage is an advantage
  • 5+ years of experience in scheduling or program planning with 3+ years within the defence industry, or a relevant degree with 3+ years within the defence industry
  • Extensive experience in operating Project Scheduling & Earned Value in a commercial environment
  • Strong knowledge of project planning principles and techniques to achieve desired project outcome, including resource management
  • Strong knowledge of planning & scheduling theory, concepts and principles required to deliver project outcomes
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Develop collaborative relationships in a team-based environment and builds rapport and trust among stakeholders
  • Applicants must be an Australian Citizen and hold, or have ability to obtain, an Australian defence security clearance.
