Boeing Global Services (BGS) is currently seeking a Senior Field Service Representative to support V-22 Fleet Support Team at Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Cherry Point, Havelock, North Carolina.

The selected candidate will be collocated with USG representatives supporting the V-22 Fleet Support Team (FST) activities associated with V-22 fleet sustainment and be capable of utilizing technical expertise and company knowledge to assist the FST in achieving and sustaining a high level of proficiency in the operation and maintenance of the MV-22 aircraft.

You are applying for a Field Operations position where our employees must be willing and able (potentially short notice) to travel to a variety of locations (domestic and/or international) to meet the needs of our customers.

Field Operations employees may be required to relocate to another Field Operations location based on customer needs and/or management requirements.

Specific contracts supported by Field Operations could require employees to perform a deployment to a US DOD contingency operation. Employees associated with these specific contracts must be able to pass military contractor health standards for deployment.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide an understanding of the theory of operation for V-22 systems and the complex relationships and interdependencies among these systems.
  • Equipped with the knowledge, skills, and the abilities required to support engineering level investigations, fault locating, repair development, modification development, and the development of associated technical documentation.
  • Assist USG engineering with system integration of proposed aircraft modification and retrofit activities.
  • Possess political and communication skills to be able to function without support from other field service representatives.
  • Develop and provide solutions to a wide variety of highly complex MV-22 technical problems without assistance.
  • Knowledgeable in and promotes sound MV-22 maintenance practices.
  • Propose changes and improvements to existing procedures through approved review processes. Interfaces directly with senior customer personnel as the primary technical contact on significant issues requiring multiple solutions and coordination across company and customer organizations.
  • Possess a working knowledge of MV-22 structural, dynamic, hydraulic, systems and an in-depth knowledge of aircraft electrical and avionics systems.
  • Read and interpret Boeing engineering drawings.
  • Familiarity with the customer aviation maintenance programs and skilled in the use of MV-22 IETMS.
  • Support Engineering processes and procedures utilizing Microsoft office products (Word, Excel, and Power Point).
  • Adaptable to the customer's rapidly changing operational priorities.
  • Develop and conduct ad hoc training.
  • Alternate work schedules and overtime may be required to support customer requirements.
  • Ability to travel to austere and possibly hostile OCONUS environments to meet customer requirements.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Minimum 5 years of experience performing complex systems engineering or system integration work
  • Minimum 10 years military systems engineering processes and logistics
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a field service representative supporting a defense system
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft office products (Word, Excel, and Power Point).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of Naval Aviation Maintenance Program (NAMP) requirements
  • Ability to work variable shifts including nights, weekends, overtime. Some schedules may rotate to support customer requirements
  • At the sole discretion of leadership, must be willing and able (on potentially short-notice) to deploy/travel to a variety of locations (domestic and international) and for a variety of deployment durations to meet customer needs and the statement of work. Unless compelling reasons exist, failure to deploy/travel will be considered as a resignation.
  • At the sole discretion of leadership, must be willing and able to relocate to a variety of locations (domestic and international) to meet customer needs and the statement of work.  Failure to relocate will be considered as a resignation. 

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • A&P/FCC credentials
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering is desired

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary pay range: $90,100 - $121,900

Security Clearance

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
