The Boeing Company is seeking an Information Technology Sarbanes-Oxley Act (IT SOX) Compliance Senior Manager to join our team in one of the following locations:

  • Illinois: Chicago

  • Missouri: Berkeley, Hazelwood

  • Texas: Plano

  • Virginia: Arlington

  • Washington: Everett, Renton or Seattle

This roles requires the selected candidate to have Extensive experience in designing, implementing, operating, and monitoring IT General Controls (ITGCs) that support SOX Compliance, including ongoing testing.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing and maintaining formal documentation on SOX technology controls, including risk and control matrices, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure clear guidance for control owners

  • Support and liaison with the IT SOX Control Program Office to ensure compliance with SOX requirements and enhance control frameworks

  • Ensure alignment between Business Process Controls (BPCs) and IT General Controls (ITGCs) Program Offices

  • Assist and advise IT organization with IT General Controls SOX scoping as new technology functionalities, modules, or integrations are introduced

  • Assist IT organization with SOX Control Design and Implementation including timely collection and delivery of audit evidence

  • Assist IT organization with Control Monitoring and Deficiency Prevention

  • Assist IT organization with ensuring IT General Computing Controls are in place proactively for new applications and changes to existing applications

  • Drive remediation of IT SOX findings by reviewing deficiency analyses, including evaluation of root cause and mitigating procedures, and validating timely closure of issues

  • Serve as a liaison with IT leadership, IT SOX, Controllership, internal and external auditors for issue escalation and resolution

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Experience in an IT SOX Program Office or equivalent SOX/controls governance role

  • Public accounting and/or industry experience designing, implementing, and testing SOX-relevant IT General Controls (ITGCs)

  • Experience in ITGC domains (e.g., access, change management, IT operations) and how they support financial reporting reliance

  • Willing and able to travel domestically and internationally for 20% of the time

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience leading a team or a project

  • Currently have any of the following certifications: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Public Accountant or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)

  • Currently hold an Information Security Manager (CISM)

  • Currently hold a Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC)

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range for IL, VA, TX, and WA: $204,850 - $277,150

Summary pay range for MO: $191,250 - $258,750
