Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking a TeamLead Shipping/Receiving Specialist to join our team in Coppell, TX.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Team Lead for Hazmat Shipping to supervise hazardous materials handling and shipping operations. The Team Lead will ensure compliance with all applicable dangerous goods regulations and company policies, on-time and accurate order fulfillment, maintaining warehouse efficiency and safety and coaching team members to meet productivity and quality goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily shipping, receiving, and order fulfillment activities.

  • Assign tasks and manage workloads to meet production schedules and SLA targets.

  • Verify accuracy of outbound shipments (items, labels, packing, documentation).

  • Oversee staging, packing, labeling, and loading of shipments for carriers.

  • Monitor inventory movement and communicate discrepancies to inventory control.

  • Maintain accurate shipping records and generate required reports.

  • Ensure compliance with carrier, DOT, hazardous materials, and company shipping policies.

  • Train, coach, and develop shipping associates; conduct performance reviews.

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area; enforce safety procedures.

  • Collaborate with procurement, customer service, and operations to resolve issues.

  • Identify process improvements and lead implementation of workflow efficiencies.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; technical/vocational training or associate degree preferred.

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on shipping/warehouse experience; at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.

  • Strong knowledge of packing methods, carrier requirements, international documentation (if applicable), and hazardous materials regulations (as required).

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to read and interpret work orders, packing lists, and shipping documents.

  • Basic computer skills: Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook) and other ERP/EWM platforms.

  • Ability to make clear decisions under pressure

Preferred Skills and Certifications

  • Forklift certification and proven safe equipment operation.

  • Certified in DOT/HazMat shipping or IATA (for air shipments), if applicable.

  • Experience with lean principles, 5S, or continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Familiarity with rate shopping, carrier selection, and freight claim processes.

  • Proficient with shipping systems (SAP EWM/ERP), inventory management, and barcode scanning.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. regularly; stand and walk for extended periods.

  • Ability to work in varied temperatures and warehouse conditions.

  • Comfortable climbing ladders and operating material-handling equipment.

Work Environment & Schedule

  • Warehouse/Distribution Center environment.

  • May require flexible hours, including early mornings, nights, weekends, or overtime during peak seasons.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Salary Pay rate: $52,000 – $73,000
