Boeing Supply Chain Engineering is currently looking for a First Line Manager to join their team in Dallas, TX. This position within the Boeing Global Services (BGS) business organization will be focused on integrating the diverse Engineering team, co-located in a collaborative environment, working directly with our Supply Chain customers and Dallas site leaders.

A successful candidate will understand the importance of collaboration as this position will work directly with Supply Chain Leaders to support multiple Commercial Spares statements of work, including Retrofit Kitting, Supplier Management support and airline customer ‘First Responders’ working 24x7.  Additional responsibilities will include Industrial Engineering support to the BGS parts distribution warehouses and implementation of best practices across Commercial and Defense processes.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages, develops, and motivates a team of roughly 15-20 direct reports
  • Responsible for ‘First Responder’ Manufacturing Engineers providing 24x7 support directly to airline customers and Supply Chain on resolution of technical requests
  • Manages Manufacturing Engineers supporting Supplier Management and Retrofit Kitting with technical support, drawings, bills of material, part master data and resolving technical issues.
  • Develops and maintains strategic partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, and direct reports
  • Exercises critical thinking and innovative problem solving
  • Acts as the initial point of escalation for issues or challenges encountered by the team.  Capable of effectively triaging and de-escalating issues with impacted parties
  • Demonstrates the Boeing Behaviors in a deliberate and observable way

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, or foreign equivalent
  • 5 or more years’ experience in a variety of hands-on engineering roles
  • 3+ years of experience in an engineering leadership role (either as a lead or a manager)
  • 1+ years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience using SAP
  • Experience leading or building a team
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, or foreign equivalent
  • Experience in project management including interfacing with suppliers, partnerships, and/or customers

Summary pay range: $138,550 – $187,450
