The Boeing Company is currently seeking an Information Technology SAP Finance Solution Architect to join the SAP S/4 Center of Excellence to lead the Enterprise SAP S4 Finance Functional and Architectural Design supporting various business units cross-functional SAP Finance landscape. This position is a Hybrid position and you can be located at our Dallas, Miami, Seattle, or St. Louis location.

As the Systems, Applications and  SAP Solution Architect, you will be the responsible work stream lead for the SAP Enterprise Finance Solution Design, maintaining the template and landscape up to date, supporting the business in designing and developing new solutions, ensuring that all changes, projects, enhancements and fixes are applied according to the SAP activate methodology and best practices of the industry. As the SAP Finance Solution Architect and functional leader, you will support functional teams based on the business priorities, coordinating and communicating in a timely manner with the program leaders. As an important agent for change and innovation, you’ll need to be up to date with recent updates of existing and new modules in the market, SAP and non-SAP, that bring efficiency or robustness to the core business process while pushing cutting edge technologies or automation. The focus of the role is to advice, support and guide all aspects of SAP Finance Solutions.

The individual is expected to be an expert in working in a global organization with the ability to work with team members dispersed across multiple United States (US) sites as well as other global locations outside of US. Strong business acumen and excellent partnership skills are paramount to working in demanding and highly skilled work environment to collaborate and influence people and decisions from the stakeholders and other IT divisions. The role reports to the Senior Manager of SAP Finance in the SAP CoE Organization.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Support, guide and advice on SAP Finance implementation through SAP S4 projects, responsible for design and delivery within our SAP Center of Excellence (CoE) organization

  • Create standards and maintain templates for successful SAP Finance implementations

  • Lead and integrate team activities across Information Technologies including infrastructure design and administration, application analysis and design, information management, architecture, computing security, computing project support and/or process analysis

  • Develop and execute plans, policies and procedures and provide input on business and technical strategies, goals, objectives

  • Assist in acquiring resources for department activities, provides technical management of suppliers and lead process improvements

  • Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers and partners

  • Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes

  • Drive end-to-end technical design, and in collaboration with delivery team’s realization and deployment activities across the enterprise and SI’s

  • Adopt and establish standards, best practices and processes as needed towards designing high quality functional and technical solutions

  • Drive governance of the functional and technical design of Solution Delivery functions

  • Represent solution delivery architecture with cross functional teams across the ERP solution delivery including, but not limited to development, testing, data management, infrastructure, security, operations and release management functions

  • Support the functional and development team in designing solutions that are aligned with the current architecture, using the infrastructure in an efficient way

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited university.

  • 10+ years of experience in SAP Financial Accounting and SAP Controlling – FI/CO

  • 7+ years of experience in General Ledger (GL)

  • 5+ years of experience in Account Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Tax and Intercompany (IC)

  • Experience in SAP Finance system architecture, configuration, and administration

  • Full lifecycle implementation experience (greenfield, rollouts, upgrades), minimum of 2

  • Able to travel both domestically and internationally

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • SAP Certified Application Associate in SAP S/4HANA Finance

  • Experience working in large organizations with large SAP footprint

  • 10+ years of experience in Information Technology (IT) systems

  • 3+ years of experience in the Digital Transformation Environment (DTE)

Typical Education/Experience:

  • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+1 years' related work experience, 5 years' related work experience, etc.).

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary Pay Range:

Miami : $151K - $184K

Dallas: $162K - $198K

St. Louis: $151K - $184K

Seattle: $162K - $198K
