The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) team is seeking a Product Review Engineer (Liaison Engineer) located in Dallas, TX. This person Will be T-7A Program Representative at Qarbon Aerospace in Red Oak, TX  providing MRB support.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Applies broad knowledge of Boeing design and/or engineering principles.
  • Provides design phase subject matter expertise by supporting Integrated Product Teams (IPT) and participating in design reviews.
  • Represents the engineering community from build through post-production environments.
  • Ensures supplier and build partner compliance with Boeing standards.
  • Develops and implements product/process improvements using innovative approaches to address complex nonconforming conditions and detect deviations.
  • Assesses and resolves product/process issues throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Leads research and development of interim and final engineering solutions for technical, operational, and quality issues that cannot be resolved by customers.
  • Leads root cause analysis and disposition development for design non-conformances, including safety-related problem analysis and complex resolution management.
  • Designs interim structural repairs, including jacking, shoring schemes, and static strength analysis.
  • Develops and leads non-destructive test procedures, tools, and standards.
  • Leads on-site disabled product repair teams and accident investigation/support teams.
  • Develops customer correspondence to support continued safe operation and maintenance of equipment.
  • Develops and implements technical training curricula for internal and external customers.
  • Provides technical solutions to complex problems requiring ingenuity and creativity, exercising considerable latitude in determining technical objectives.
  • Guides successful completion of major program aspects and may serve in project leadership roles, with decisions impacting major organizational objectives.
  • Represents the organization as the prime technical contact on contracts and projects, interacting with senior external personnel on significant technical matters

Following placement and the start date, the candidate must be able to travel to St. Louis to complete training required for MRB approval. The length of the stay will vary depending on experience and cost will be covered by Boeing.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • Level 4: 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US Applies extensive job practices, techniques, standards, principles, theories, and concepts. Has full knowledge of other related disciplines. Recognized as a job expert within the department/organization
  • 9+ years of MRB Engineering experience with shop floor

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Material Review Board Certified as a Liaison Engineer on the shop floor at Boeing St. Louis, MO (BDS) — highest preference
  • Material Review Board Certified as a Liaison Engineer on the shop floor at any BDS location — second preference
  • Material Review Board Certified as a Liaison Engineer on the shop floor at any Boeing facility outside of BDS — third preference
  • Material Review Board Certified as a Liaison Engineer supporting the shop floor at any aerospace OEM outside of Boeing — fourth preference
  • Material Review Board Certified as a Liaison Engineer supporting the shop floor at a company outside the aerospace industry — fifth preference

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Salary Pay Range:

$135,150-$182,850
